18.01.2022 What's better than a delicious smoothie? A delicious smoothie that supports happy hormones! This one has good healthy fats and zinc, plus it's high in protein and low in sugar to help balance the blood sugar levels. 1 cup liquid of choice (milk, nut milk, coconut water or water) 1/2 cup frozen berries (preferably organic) 1 teaspoon chia seeds... 1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds 1 quarter avocado 1 serve of good quality protein powder 1 teaspoon maca powder A few ice cubes (optional) Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy! Let me know if you try this one! 12.01.2022 Why as practitioners we love our DUTCH testing Repost @dutchtest . September is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Month!... PCOS is a serious genetic, hormone, metabolic, and reproductive disorder affecting women and girls. Many women with PCOS struggle with irregular periods, infertility, insulin resistance, weight gain, facial hair growth, acne, and more. Once PCOS is suspected or diagnosed, a woman can greatly benefit from the treatment of her PCOS. Have you used a DUTCH Test for female patients struggling with fertility, facial hair growth, and weight gain symptoms? Test results may show normal testosterone but elevated adrenal androgens, and she may have adrenal PCOS, or PCOS characterized by high DHEA-S, with normal testosterone. So the next time you see high DHEA-S but normal or low testosterone on your patient’s DUTCH Test results, consider further workup for PCOS. 11.01.2022 Do you meditate? WAIT! Don't go! I know meditation may seem a little woo woo or you instantly think it's not for you because how on earth can you sit there for 2 hours in silence with no thoughts. But let me tell you that's not what meditation has to be and it really can be something simple that you can implement no matter how busy you are (in fact, if you think you're too busy to mediate, you probably need it more than anyone!) First off, some of the benef...its of meditation: reduces stress increases happiness and optimism supports loving, harmonious relationships increases satisfaction reduces cravings increases resilience improves mental clarity improves sleep quality Ok, so how can you do it if you're a beginner? if you can't sit still in silence, that's ok! A guided meditation might be better for you. Do a search on YouTube or Spotify for guided meditation. there are plenty of apps available to help with meditation - Headspace, Calm, Aura, Insight Timer, Sattva and Mindology. an alternative is to practice mindfulness - this means you focus on exactly what you're doing and nothing else. E.g. when you're washing the dishes - notice the bubbles, how they feel, how the water feels. By focusing on the task you're doing, you're letting go of all the thoughts rushing around in your head - even if it's just for a moment. Journaling is another way to help you get those thoughts rushing around your head out and onto paper. Taking 10 minutes each morning or night to journal can have the same benefits. The key to meditation is consistency. Even if you don't really notice much difference after doing it once, keep it up. It is the consistency of meditation that will make the difference. See more

08.01.2022 Head down sifting through loads of hormone health research. What a changing industry we are in! . Naturopathy is becoming more and more science based, which I love. Because we get the world of natural medicine intertwined with functional- research based medicine. . I love weaving ancient herbal medicine therapies with functional hormone testing to get the best of both worlds. I am seriously in love with @dutchtest and the information we can... get from that. No more guessing- just treating the actual imbalance. . Hormones assessed via urine give us the biggest answers to your health. From metabolites, to liver phases and methylation we can devise a plan to help you get on track quicker than using guess work. With a good health history and functional testing suddenly we have answers to your puzzle. . So if you’ve ever felt like your health was a complex puzzle maybe it’s time to take a different approach. And in a time of uncertainty we can do everything via your home, even hormone testing! FREE 15 minute discovery calls available for a limited time. Booking link in bio See more

05.01.2022 Friday night chillax time with my fav mag @wellbeing_magazine Are you soaking up this glorious Adelaide weather?

03.01.2022 When was the last time you bought yourself some flowers? Does it seem self indulgent? Does it seem like a waste of money? Well here's a pretty good reason for you to go out and buy (or pick, legally of course) some beautiful flowers to fill your home (not that you need an excuse, you totally deserve it!) Flowers have been scientifically proven to improve a person's mood! We probably didn't need a scientific study to prove this, who doesn't feel good when they receiv...e or even look at beautiful flowers? The study compared the mood of people receiving flowers, a fruit hamper and a candle and the smiles of those who received the flowers were significantly more authentic and had a lasting impression! Not a real surprise here since we know how good mother nature is for us. While all flowers have a positive effect on our well being, the ones that scored the highest are: Daisies Lilies Tulips Gladioli Roses Daffodils Hydrangeas So if your mood needs a little boost, or maybe you have a friend or loved one who could do with a little boost, grab some flowers and lift that mood. What's your pick of the bunch? . . . . . . . .#mindbodysoul #mindbodyspirit #raiseyourvibrations #holisticliving #greenlifestyle #healthyhappylife #wellnessjourney #organiclifestyle #moveyourbody #inspirationdaily #cleaneating #eatwellbewell #healthybodyhealthymind #healthyhabits #healinghormones #balancedhormones #healingfromtheinsideout #integrativemedicine #functionalmedicine #preventativehealth #naturopathicdoctor #wholebodyhealth #hormonebalance #hormoneimbalance #holistichealth #guthealth #detox #nutrition #naturopath #naturopathadelaide See more
