16.01.2022 From Bacchus Marsh to Clunes, and in Ballarat and Creswick we are co-creating a Wellbeing Script and the system to support it. In our project with the Central Highlands Association of Neighbourhood Houses we first conducted in-depth interviews, from this we produced a ‘Synthesis of perspectives’, and have just ran 4 workshops with GPs, specialists, medical students, and Neighbourhood House Coordinators to generate ideas as to how might we" link GPs and Neighbourhood Houses and set up sustainable collaboration and referral pathway. Already GPs are visiting Neighbourhood Houses and vice versa, such a collaborative project exciting stuff! #socialprescribing Jane Grimwood

10.01.2022 We were at Clunes in Central Victoria today working with the amazing leaders from Neighbourhood Houses - Lana de Kort and Jane Grimwood, joined by Dr Kevin Lee - Endocrinologist and extraordinary natural social prescriber. We ideated to inform the emerging Wellbeing Scripts initiative - connecting GPs and Neighbourhood Houses. Lana, Kevin and the Clunes Community are creatives, leaders, Changemakers, innovators - already experimenting and trailblazing with exciting initiatives with their community like Weight off your shoulders we Clunes - a well-being community.

07.01.2022 Shelley and Kate spent the morning with the Clunes Wellbeing Lab (in person!!) exploring and re-imagining what health and wellbeing may look like for their community. It was so energising to finally put down the screens and see each other for the first time (in a covid-safe manner) despite working together since September. This morning the lab explored, amongst many things, the concept of wellbeing frameworks and how these might influence the future of Clunes' health and wellbeing future. Participants had space to reflect on their own personal journeys - a powerful opportunity to realise the potential of "what might be possible". Clunes Wellbeing Lab is a truely impressive cohort of community wellbeing intrapreneurs who are ready to #riseprevention. Watch this space!! Clunes Neighbourhood House

02.01.2022 It is World Obesity Day today sending a message we’re working towards building happier, healthier and longer lives for everybody. When the communities of the Hepburn Shire in Victoria were asked about tackling obesity- through healthy eating and physical activity, they came up with an approach to create a healthy and sustainable food system called SHIFT Sustainable Healthy Integrated Food Towns. It is a big and bold concept to turn the food system around to one that is lo...cal, focused on children and young people, and their educational and social health and wellbeing, and one that respects the Council declared climate emergency. This is complexity at its very best matched with a ‘how might we’ and ‘we can’ spirit healthy eating and physical activity measures were elevated into a powerful prototype of a circular economy for healthy food for children and youth. The SHIFT Healthy Lunch Kitchen, our first part of the SHIFT enterprise, commenced this week in partnership with the Daylesford Primary School in Central Victoria, a school with over 260 children and a big vision to lead the way on nutritious school lunches. A vision we hope spreads like crazy, just imagine serving up lashings of local veg into children’s diets each day! Already we have created jobs, set up supply chains with local farmers, and have a nutritious menu being ordered furiously by children and staff at the school. ‘We can’ SHIFT food systems in our communities. #prevention #healthylunchkitchen #shifthepburn #WorldObesityDay #obesitycollective
