23.01.2022 YES YES YES!!! - This gal is drinking what I’m pouring! The recipes in this book are so versatile, it would be criminal to not to use them in other meals - like the kale + hemp pesto for example: Use it as a Pasta sauce, as a salad dressing, on a pizza base or simply as a nutrient dense snack! ... FUN FACT: I will often use the same combination of foods to make totally different meals, for example: My Cacao + Matcha Chia pudding is based on my Cacao + Matcha Christmas Cake ( almost the exact same ingredients ) think of me as Marge Simpson when she bought that fancy pink dress, and turned into a heap of others Hopefully these recipes will inspire you to do the same

Ajna, (the third eye chakra, located between your brow space, is connected to the eyes and pineal gland. This energy center is associated with intuition, visualisation, vision, concentration, and clairvoyance. It’s here that we turn our vision inward, to gain clarity and insight, to move through whatever blocks, obstacles, or limitations we may be experiencing, and to remember, we have the strength to persevere!



18.01.2022 , - Thich Nhat Hanh + How easy it is to feel we are cut from all that life offers us, and that we are lacking in some way? Generosity, abundance, and wealth arises naturally by acknowledging our existing blessings. A gratitude practice reminds us we are being loved and cared for and we have enough to live a beautiful life. We can start by appreciating the simple ...things, the gift of breath, the preciousness of life, of family, by getting rooted in what we already have. This mornings YinYasa Class helped us focus on and appreciate the abundance around us, while this evenings vinyasa class holds a deeper lesson; does money matter when it comes to abundance? Through creative sequencing, we will flow without the use of our hands, challenging our physical and mental beliefs about what money and material things are. The hands will symbolise money, and by removing them (something we believe we always need), we will try new things, busting through limiting beliefs and making do with everything else we already have! 18.01.2022 Some Wednesday Wisdom via yogaglo: Sometimes, ‘cool, calm, and collected’ just isn’t in the cards. Between balancing the daily stressors of lifecareer, relationships, kids, schoolit can feel like we’re carrying the weight of the world, and calling upon our cultivated spiritual mindset may not be accessible exactly when you need it. So, in times of chaos, sometimes the best thing we can do, is just let it happen. Accept our imperfections, it’s not all going to go right, and that storms come and go on their own, as do our thoughts.

12.01.2022 THIS WEEK’S FOCUS: IS ALL ABOUT BEING A BADASS WITH BOUNDARIES! I imagine most of us have feelings of being stretched as the holidays encroach and the end of the year draws near. I’m currently organising and preparing for Remys 1st Birthday ( and whilst it’s only a small little shindig with family) when it comes to my kids and celebrations, let’s be real, I like to do things a bit extra. ... So I won’t lie, this week I’m feeling a bit on edge. On edge about keeping the balance over the next 4 weeks; being fun mum, staying organised, staying on top (or should I say ahead) of work, finding time to create, write, ensuring I do my daily yoga + workout, and making sure I don’t eat myself into an oblivion in the lead up. I’ve put in the hard work all year round, and for the first time ever I’ve actually found a balance. Usually one aspect of my life suffers ( usually my health, helllo burnout! ). What have I done differently? SET BOUNDARIES! It’s meant slowing down and accepting I can’t and don’t need to do it all, asking for help, and saying no to things that I know are going to put me behind. As the holidays draw near you might be feeling the same, AND this is where boundaries come into play. So a few questions to get you thinking before stepping on the mat this week How are you currently doing with your boundaries? What boundaries do you need to feel safe, grounded, and authentic during this festive season? Your answer might be that you need to take a break from your work to be present with your family, Or it might be that you need an accountability partner to help you stay on track with your health goals. Or it might be that you need dedicated time set aside to fill your cup, to work or to simply get organised. When you have set these boundaries, lovingly ask your family and friends to respect this. Two mantras on offer this week: Have the courage to say yes, only when it feels right. And no to things, or the old patterns that don’t serve you. The more grounded I am in me, the more abundance I create for myself, my family, and humanity .

11.01.2022 Cocoa is rich in polyphenols, which have significant health benefits. The Flavanols in cocoa (a type of Polyphenol) can cross the blood-brain barrier, and support neuron production, brain function and improve blood flow and supply to brain tissue. Furthermore they can reduce inflammation and improve cholesterol levels. However it’s important to note that processing cocoa into chocolate or other products can substantially decrease the polyphenol content, so the effects most l...ikely seen, will not be achieved by the average chocolate bar. Choose a Dark Chocolate that is at least 70% cocoa (although 85% + Cocoa is better), and if used in cooking add some quality dietary fat to enhance the absorption of flavonoids; as pictured here in this Rich Chocolate, Coffee + Walnut Tart : (85%Cocoa paired with Walnuts, Flax, Almond Meal + Coconut Oil).

Bayaroma Do I need to pre-order my Juice? While you can just order this juice at the counter, it’s recommended you call ahead (07) 4125 1515 so they can get it ready/save time waiting.... Do I need to bring my own container/s? Due to Covid Regulations, BYO is not available. The team at Bayaroma will have your drink prepared in a 750ml takeaway cup. If you aren’t consuming all the drink at once, I’d transfer to a sealed container/water bottle in the fridge, as cold pressed juices can last for 3-5days in the fridge. 07.01.2022 A Nutritious Summer Meal: Watermelon Salad w/ S+P Squid (or Tofu) + Caper Tartare Squid makes for a great addition of protein to your summer salads, especially if you want to up your protein intake without compromising on their calorific goals. A 100gm serving of squid only has 75kcal - 85kcals, 0 Net Carbs, and approximately 16g of protein. Furthermore it’s An excellent source of Vitamins B6 + B12, aswell as selenium and Vitamin E. Selenium, which is present in a minute quan...tity in the body, works with vitamin E in the promotion of normal body growth and fertility. Pair this with my Watermelon Salad; rich in Carotenoids, Polyphenols, and Ascorbic Acid, and you’ve got yourself one very Nutrient Dense Light Meal! 03.01.2022 FOUNDATIONAL YOGA POSES: Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff Pose)... Benefits: A foundational pose that teaches you how to find your center and activate your legs in arm balances. 1. From Plank Pose, align your shoulders slightly ahead of the wrists and come onto the balls of your feet, pressing the soles of your feet back, as if into a wall behind you. 2. Simultaneously push back through the heels to engage the quadriceps and bring the lower body to life, and reach your sternum forward, creating a straight, taut line of energy from the crown of your head through your feet. 3. On an inhalation, draw the heads of the shoulders and the tops of the thighs up and away from the floor, pull your lower body up and in, and release the tailbone toward the floor. 4. On an exhalation, bend your elbows, keeping them over your wrists and drawn in against your sides. Slowly lower yourself toward the floor, keeping your body as straight as a plank of wood, neither letting your center sag nor sticking your buttocks up in the air. 5. Bring your gaze to the floor, about 6 inches in front of you, and continue to lower until your shoulders are at the same height as your elbows. 6. Continue to reach through the heels, sternum, and crown of the head as you breathe. 7. To come out of the pose, exhale and lower down to your belly or push back up to Plank Pose. Or inhale and come onto the tops of your feet and into Upward-Facing Dog.
