03.01.2022 How has your workplace supported staff health and wellbeing during COVID-19? Here’s what Canberra Labor Club Group has shared with us. Nice work! Canberra Labor Club Limited has had to reinvent how to reach employees during Covid, as the venues were in shut down for almost 20 weeks. During that time Managers made weekly calls to team members. Regular information was sent out regarding Covid, including Government support and financial assistance, and resources on physical an...d mental health. We offered all employees flu vaccinations during Covid, as well as retail vouchers to assist with grocery bills. When we reopened we continued to provide resources around physical and mental health. We recognised R U OK Day with a morning tea for staff and managers. On World Mental Health Day we provided healthy breakfast packs to all employees. We also provided gym passes to everyone. Covid has been difficult but has also shown the resilience of our employees to continue to provide great service to our community. Share your story to be in the running for free workplace Mental Health First Aid Training. Entries close 6 November 2020. Visit: https://www.healthierwork.act.gov.au/2020-photo-video-comp/

03.01.2022 Check out how ActewAGL have supported their staff health and wellbeing during COVID-19. "ActewAGL has supported staff health and wellbeing through Covid-19 by having its finger on the pulse and being proactive in ensuring that we as employees feel safe and healthy regardless of where we are working. The organisation acted early into the pandemic to ensure that we still functioned as a business while adapting to the new norm. "By separating critical business functions between... two sites, allowing flexible working from home arrangements, and ensuring that social distancing protocols are followed, we have been able to continue working in a safe manner. "We have also been well supported mentally through an array of mental health resources that are available to us such as the EAP service, regular check ins from management and other online resources that are available through our Intranet. These implementations have provided employees with everything they need to continue to work safely and harmoniously." Our photo competition has now closed. We will announce the winner shortly of the free workplace Mental Health First Aid Training.
