25.01.2022 As part of my role as a volunteer surf life saver at Tacking Point Surf Club, I had the honour of helping to deliver Santa to the nippers Christmas party at Lighthouse Beach yesterday. The excitement in children's eyes at seeing Santa come out of the ocean is exactly what Christmas is about. I had the pleasure of chatting with them today about healthy eating. In doing so, we discussed the importance of understanding how to read a food label. I encouraged them to take a photo of one of the key slides and as you can see below, their phones were at the ready!! Thanks Rotary Sunrise for the opportunity to spread the healthy nutrition message.

In person at our office at in Port Macquarie as usual or 2. Telephone you at your appointed time or 3. Video-conference link in with you on your computer or phone. If you would like to video-conference, we will do a ZOOM call. You will need to download the link to ZOOM (https://zoom.us/download). It is free and easy to ...use. As a secure platform, it meets the privacy guidelines. Just let our reception staff know if you would prefer to come into our office or try phone/video-conference for your next appointment.

16.01.2022 In extreme heat conditions, keeping hydrated is crucial. You only have to be 2% dehydrated before it impacts your decision making. Keep your water intake up tomorrow and this week. For most people, we need at least 2lt of water/day. And if you are sweating, sometimes electrolyte drinks are better as they retain fluid. Stay safe this week and keep well hydrated.

05.01.2022 Had a great dinner at a new Italian restaurant in Port Macquarie this week called Hidden Gem (https://www.facebook.com/hiddengemmarina/). Here's a photo of one of the great range of salads - the Contadina. A mixed leaf salad with corn, onions, olives, dried figs, cucumber and halloumi topped with a honey mustard dressing. It's a must to accompany any meal there. Buon pasto!!
