14.01.2022 Re- envisioning takes energy. In Darwin at the moment, its hot and energy is low. It's difficult to think of doing anything new when you feel zapped. It feels near impossible to think of doing something new to change things. And who has the inspiration for new years resolutions! I'd love to say there is a magic bullet. Sometimes it's just accepting the fatigue and letting it pass. When you fight it, it makes your more tired. Sometimes it's taking stock and looking at what d...rains you and then doing something about that. I had a coaching session last night and my coach told me that my fatigue was palpable. She advised me to do a time study and see what I do and then check what is that drains. For my clients I talk about a bucket and seeing what the leaks are. The leaks could be all the jobs you have to do, it could be people in your life, it could be a cluttered desk or lounge room, and it WILL be some of the thoughts that you are thinking. They all add up. Sometimes it's about taking inventory on your habitual feelings as well because they can drain you as well. I think my drain is travelling alot to communities and now I'm travelling again to deliver a 2 day peer supporter training. I love being away but it makes days very long. And maybe a bit too much coffee! I'd love to write something fabulous to tie this up, but the fatigue has jammed up my creativity. Hard to be innovative when the battery is flat. I'm off to the naturopath next week to do my bi annual check in where she can tell me I drink too much coffee. What's your go to when you are tired ?

11.01.2022 Merry Xmas ! I remember some of my best Xmas days I was working. At St Vi’s I remember a choir going around singing. It felt very special I hope you all have a great day even if you are working in the kitchen or in the ward !
