15.01.2022 Did you know that the cracks and pops you hear when you're being adjusted is caused by small pockets of air, which are in the fluid that surrounds your joints. When joint tissues are stretched during a chiropractic adjustment, the pockets of air "pop," which creates that cracking sound you hear. 07.01.2022 Yep, we're gonna bang on about posture again. You can scroll past and ignore one of the most crucial aspects of your body's design or you can read how to make changes that bring you towards health every day, instead of away from it. Your choice! ... For those of you who care to appreciate the complex nature of our posture and it's significance, read on. We were designed to be upright! Our body's are comprised of three spinal curves which allow us to be strong against gravity's pull and provide us with stability from our feet. The smallest change in our posture can create problems in the form of pain, loss of function, restricted use of limbs and brain power. Imagine our spines like garden hoses that provide a steady stream of water when they're 'hooked up' to the mains. If the hose becomes loose, the amount of water coming through is less. If the hose gets kinked, the stream of water coming through is less consistent and sometimes barely a trickle makes it way through. Similar to our body's makeup, a subluxated (kinked) spinal column can have adverse effects on the amount of signals and the strength of those signals from your brain. And nobody wants that, right? Remove those kinks and you turn the power back on Maintaining correct posture takes practice and effort, we won't lie. But it's so incredibly worth it to be able to function at your best all day every day! Get your back in order and get adjusted
