15.01.2022 IMMUNE BOOSTERS Did you know? Studies show that Vitamin D can help reduce the likelihood of developing the flu Sources of vitamin D include salmon, sardines, tuna, egg yolk and mushrooms. Shiitake mushrooms are a great source of phytonutrients and Vitamin D and are great addition to soups.... Give this delicious recipe a go Ingredients 1 Tbsp coconut oil 1 brown onion, chopped 7 garlic cloves, minced 3 celery stalks, sliced 500g shitake mushrooms 1 tsp turmeric 4L water 3 bok choy, bottoms chopped off 1/2 head kale, chopped 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger sea salt and black pepper to taste Chop bottom of the stem from mushrooms and discard. Slice mushrooms. Heat up coconut oil, Add onions and sauté until translucent. Add in garlic and cook until fragrant. Add in celery and mushrooms and sautee for about 10 minutes until mushrooms have wilted. Add in spices and water and bring to a boil. Then let simmer, covered for 2 hour or as long as you want (the longer you simmer the better it will taste) Add bok choy and kale in the last 10 minutes of cooking to wilt. Serve warm
