20.01.2022 This year has been tough. Those who are frontline workers or people who have been working remotely for extended periods during this past year may face the risk, if they are not already there, of burnout. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. Burnout can even turn tasks you love doing into a burden. It can manifest itself in the form of reduced productivity, procrastination, loss of interest in work, and lack of sleep. If you are concerned about any of these symptoms, please speak to your GP, or go to https://headtohealth.gov.au/search-resources

16.01.2022 Our hardworking Glen Innes team Anne Edwards, Malcolm Watts and Jillyan Jopson featured in the Glen Innes Examiner this week, after the Commonwealth Bank presented the office with a $500 community donation. Glen Innes bank branch manager Mandy Crisp said it was great to be able support HealthWISE in providing for some of the most vulnerable people in the community. Each branch of the bank was allocated $500 to donate to community causes, and local employees voted to give their donation to HealthWISE this year. "After a challenging start to the year with devastating bushfires and now the coronavirus pandemic, it's timely to give back to local organisations who do good work in our community. We are pleased to support HealthWISE," she said.
