24.01.2022 Your life is a reflection of your standards and what you tolerate." Some people tolerate unhealthy relationships, poor finances, staying in jobs they dread going to and spend time with people that are judging them If you dont want these things in your life then something needs to change. If you want change in your life, if you want more success and tired of not living your best life, not feeling in alignment then I suggest you spend t...ime with those that are already successful, people that inspire you, people that have the same vision for life, people that will hold you accountable to achieve your goals and most importantly not afraid to call you out on your BS. (If you are one of my one to one clients you will know I will call you out on your BS but thats my job to keep you moving forward) So ask yourself.... 1. Where do you want to be in the next 3,6,9,12 months? I always suggest looking at these five areas. Health, Wealth, Relationships, Spiritual, Fun (for me this is travel for you it may be something else). Theres plenty of areas & I encourage you to choose whats right for you and what you want to focus on. 2. Are the people around you supporting you and keeping you accountable to achieve those goals? 3. What are you currently tolerating that needs to change? What a lovely way to spend my Saturday morning. 2019 was a year the vision board was not created and a year where although we achieved some pretty cool things I felt a bit flat and not as excited/driven as I normally am. So when I was invited to a Vision Board Workshop with some incredible woman I had to say YES. ... Its amazing when you surround yourself with the right people how your mindset can shift so quickly. 2020 is a year where I have some pretty cool goals and for the first time they arent all focused around finance. 23.01.2022 ..... I get it Im hearing you its hard to find time for you. Youre a busy mum juggling all things in life from looking after the kids, working to support the family, cooking the meals, oh dont forget the washing, the cleaning and the built in taxi service taking the kids to all their sports and parties. You have tried so many diets and you have lost some kgs but after a few weeks the deprivation gets the better of you so you give up, you decide its not th...e right time, its just too hard to cook all these different meals so I can achieve my goals and you indulge in everything you have missed the past few weeks and then let me guess you feel terrible? What I want you to know is this was me for many years I was the queen of yo yo dieting I swear no one did it better than me but what I learnt was all that was doing was ruining my lifestyle, affecting my friendships (because I couldnt socialise when I was on these crazy diets ) and every time although I lost weight I gained it back plus some afterwards. Mediation helps to reduce anxiety, reduce stress, improve focus, clear the mind, increase creativity and much more. 2. Show gratitude daily..... expressing gratitude daily has been linked to increasing sleep quality, improving physical health, improving self esteem and can open the door to more relationships.... 3. Exercise,Eat Right & Rise Early.....what I mean by exercise is develop a habit of incorporating movement into your daily regime. Find what type of movement you like best as if its enjoyable its much easier to form a habit. Eating well this doesnt mean deprivation, soup diet, calorie counting or any of the 100s of other diets that are promoted. Its about eating a diet focused around wholefoods, loads of variety including protein carbs and fats, eliminating processed foods, minimising alcohol and finding the foods that are most suitable to you. Giving you the most energy and fat burning. Rise early yes I said it if you havent read the book Miracle Morning I strongly suggest you get your hands onto this and the power of rising early will become VERY clear to you. 18.01.2022 ? Dr Google is a great invention but can also be one of the causes of confusion and overwhelm. And then we have social media all these amazing highlight reels people sharing their transformations and diet they followed. ... So you jump onboard as she has had amazing results. You go out shopping on the weekend you are inspired and motivated to start on Monday. Monday comes and you are 100% focused you say no to all the treats at the work morning tea table, & off to the gym you go. Tuesday comes and you are still good you are sharing how great you are doing with your work colleagues. Wednesday You start to tell yourself how amazing you are doing, but lacking energy. Thursday you are convincing yourself you can get through to the weekend to have that cheat meal you. You know exactly where you are going, you know the meal you are ordering, your mouth is already watering just thinking about it. Friday you are so grateful you have nearly made the week and cant wait for that cheat meal. BUT a friend calls and invites you out tonight? You so want to go but the diet doesnt allow for that so you say no as you are determined but also feel sad. Saturday is here and all you think about all day is your cheat meal tonight its the best thing ever. As Sunday rolls around you start to gather the courage to push through another week but find yourself having all these stories in your head. 18.01.2022 WARNING LOOONG POST AHEAD For over 10 years I have been known for all things health, having started as a PT before moving into gym ownership with John and it has been an incredible journey. 2019 was a year where I knew I needed some new direction and when the opportunity arose to transition out of the gym I took that leap and started a new path of whats next?... I took 6 months to find me again and started to explore other industries and found myself assisting my sister with supporting my nephew Samuel. For those of you that dont know Samuel has CP, Epilepsy, Perthes Disease, Global Delay Development and a DNA Defect to name a few. Life is challenging for them but Samuel is 99% of the time so happy. Spending this one on one time with him opened up a whole new world for me. Disability was just a part of our life and although I saw the challenges my sister and her family faced when I worked closer with the family I really stated to see the impact and how supporting these families means so much to them. I decided I was going to engage with a few more families and see where this new chapter would take me. I have loved working with a wide range of disabilities and its so interesting to see how many of the skills from previous careers transfer over to this sector. Being able to assist a family and see the impact you have on their day is truly rewarding. After spending time working closely with families as a Support Worker and seeing the challenges they face with understanding the complex NDIS system I became more curious as to what else is out there in this space, what other value can I add? I then discovered the role of Support Coordinator and I absolutely love it I have % found my new passion. When you love what you do its no longer work its so empowering. So for those who have reached out and said Are you ok I havent seen you on FB of late Im still here and Im doing amazing I just spending time in other areas as opposed to posting on FB and to be honest have loved not constantly posting on here. 17.01.2022 Let me guess you look at this pic and think nawww how cute look at that booty and those chunky little thighs. You have a smile on your face, you have to show your partner or friend that is sitting next to you as its so adorable and you even tag your friend that has a baby. But then if it was a grown woman can I assume the response wouldnt be the same ... Some would judge and have some not so nice comments like..... she shouldnt wear short shorts, ewww look at her legs, she needs to lose weight blah blah blah What if we looked and thought check her out she is so confident in her own skin, loving who she is and is so proud to share it. Just because she doesnt have the thigh gap or is super lean doesnt mean she doesnt have a lot to offer the world. Today with the world of social media, editing apps and girls that take 1000 pics before they post the perfect pic its often hard for some not to get caught up in the comparison game. As we start the new week no matter what your size, no matter what your thoughts currently are I want you to take a moment to honour YOUR BODY our bodies are the biggest gift and capable of more than we will ever know. Its ok to want to be healthier, to lose the excess weight thats leaving you feeling uncomfortable, to be healthy enough to run around with the kids and participate in the mums running race at school but I encourage you to not self sabotage along the way and learn to love you for who you are. 16.01.2022 Once again my nephew being left for hours whilst waiting for a taxi. This isn’t the first instance of this occurring and to see in this report that drivers were in the area however didn’t take the job is just disgusting. Samuel was left waiting with his carer for over 2 hours whilst operators chose not to accept the pick up. 13Cabs informed my sister the driver are contractors and the cannot make them do a job. This needs to change PWD should not be in this situation.

16.01.2022 Although I dont watch TV its always on in our house as my husband just has a habit of turning it on even if he is going outside so whilst it was on in the background this morning whilst I was doing some cleaning this caught my attention. Most of you may not know my story about my addiction to sugar free soft drinks. The short story basically many years ago probably 10+ I had a personal trainer myself and I was allowed to drink as much sugar free soft drink as I wanted ...because it had zero calories this was the start of my addiction and bad relationship with food. I am pleased to say I havent had any soft drink now for 15 months and have zero desire for it. You can read my whole story at www.healthyempprium.com.au if it is of interest to you. However I suggest if you drink a lot of soft drink or energy drinks that you watch this clip its worth your time and you will see the impact it has on your health and also weight gain. 15.01.2022 Proud Post Just over a year ago my gorgeous girl @zoe.walkerr took a massive leap and moved to Melbourne to pursue her dreams of continuing her studies/training in circus arts. What a year it was she was only 17 at the time of moving, moved interstate, moved into a unit on her own (no share accomodation) and really only knew one person @adampasek and had no idea how to cook . ... But she was determined it was something she had wanted for a long time. There were many tears along the way from both mummy and daughter but we worked through the challenges and the growth this girl has had in one year is incredible. It may be hard to let your children go and spread their wings and even as the months go by it doesnt get easier but one thing you are is so damn proud of them. Most of my close friends and family know mummy had set her head space for one year then my girl would be home (dad was more realistic and knew she wouldnt come back ) I wont lie the day I got the txt saying she wasnt coming home I cried for a whole day I was heart broken but I picked myself up stopped making it about me and knew I had to 100% support her in her decision after all I always wanted to raise a strong independent woman So here we are one year on she has secured her first full time job, that one person she knew is now the love of her life and she has moved out of that tiny little unit she called home for a year ready for the next chapter. We are so grateful she has an amazing family taking care of her in Melbourne. 08.01.2022 , , ? My guess is if this is you then inflammation is one thing you are struggling with. A little bit about inflammation...... Inflammation is a helpful tool that our body uses to help fight off disease. However, it can be dangerous when it is occurring too often or being caused by outside sources. For example, when we eat inflammatory foods, they can cause damage in our gut which can lead to increased intestinal permeability. Your stomach lining is only one cell thick, which is excellent because it lets nutrients from digested food flow into your bloodstream, while also keeping waste (such as viruses, bacteria, indigestible molecules like dust) from being absorbed. 05.01.2022 .... I have in the past been a yo-yo dieter I have overcome an autoimmune disease I have tried nearly every diet out there... I have given up more times than I can remember I have hated my body for most of my life until recently I have been super lean BUT had no lifestyle at all as it was full of deprivation I thought I had to say goodbye to carbs, to good quality fats and everything I loved in order to have the body I wanted I have counted calories and lived on only 1200 per day I would always respond to a positive comment about my body with a negative never embraced it and thanked the person. Why am I sharing this with you? Because its all a journey and I am so grateful for the journey I have been on with my own health and body. Now as a health coach/trainer I have so much to give to my clients, I understand where you are at, I know what it feels like to feel overwhelmed, to feel like you will never love your body, to feel like you have to give up everything you love in order to achieve your goals. The knowledge, personal experience and skills I have learnt over the years have now been poured into my health coaching practise to deliver programs that are designed to help you achieve your goals with ease, grace and flow. 04.01.2022 Some of you may not know that Healthy Emporium doesnt only offer Health Coaching & Personal Training I also work in the disability sector supporting clients. For some clients this entails therapy assistance, for some I am fortunate to be able to implement skills I have through personal training and health coaching whereas others it may be respite so the family is able to attend meetings, run errands etc. This little boy is just one of my man clients and to think his mum was ...told he would never walk. Today whilst implementing his therapy plan I decided to push him a little further and the outcome was truly incredible. To see him take his first few unassisted steps, to be the one that had the courage to push him outside the comfort zone and to be able to catch it on camera is just incredible. To see mums face when she came back when I told her was a moment I will never forget. And to top it off he walked again so mum could see it not just on video and he walked even further. So for me Friday has been amazing what a great way to finish a week

03.01.2022 This may sound very strange to a lot of people however during this crazy time we are going through I feel a general sense of calmness and the most content I have been in a long time. Normally a situation like this would cause so much uncertainty and anxiety. I believe the work I have done over the past few years on personal development has really come to life right now. I am so grateful for those that showed me the path and encouraged me to invest time and money into the vari...ous areas I have explored. Some have pulled out things I didnt want to deal with, some have empowered me, others have given me the greatest gifts in life. Yes I have had a downturn in my business and not immune to that however I strongly believe we can all come through this stronger, more resilient and more connected than ever before but its a decision for you to make. This is a situation you cant control but what you can control is your emotions and reactions. If we take the time to pause and reflect we all have so much to be grateful for everyday. 99.99% of us have our health We can take advantage of this time to be present with our families We have beautiful fresh air to breathe in everyday ( not every country is fortunate enough to have this) We have a place to call home We have an opportunity to make a change in career. Its often during these times we open ourselves up to new possibilities We have time to just slow down and be We are pushed to be innovative Some of us are stretching way outside our comfort zones right now as we have no choice but thats where the greatest growth will occur The list goes on and on I could be here all night but what I want to share with you all is no matter how challenging it may seem right now we all will get through this and a part of me thinks that although it is a painful time for many it has been delivered for a reason. 01.01.2022 2020 What A Year It Was...... As many I had challenges and changes throughout 2020 but can honestly say I am super grateful for everything that occurred. 2020 was a year of discovery and growth, having wanted to shift direction for sometime COVID forced that shift to occur. Prior to that I was unsure, I had been in the fitness industry for 10 years and I felt that was my identity and it also gave me certainty until COVID occurred. ... Overnight my business went from success to nothing. It was in the moment I knew it was time to make the change I had been wanting to make for sometime and commit 100%. The first step was to believe in me and I know I had everything within to succeed. I look back now and think wow what an incredible journey it has been in such a short period of time. From wanting to obtain my registration with the NDIS (that I was so scared about) to now being fully registered is just incredible. I wouldn’t be here though without a number of people in my life, from my family and close friends that supported and encouraged me 100%, my mentors who still provide ongoing mentoring today, to the clients that believed in me to assist them on their journey. Going into 2021 I am feeling super grateful and blessed for the community I have, the clients I connect with and my family/friends.
