23.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone. I watched the repeat of this show on the ABC last night. My New Years Resolution is to reduce the rubbish I get rid of each week. I have my food waste covered by putting it in my worm farm and I am reducing the plastic I use by using wax wraps to replace glad wrap, using my own reusable shopping bags and using my own filtered water in a glass bottle or thermos bottle so I don't buy plastic bottles. I also shop at local farmers markets where they don't wrap everything in plastic. How are you going to help to reduce your waste?

14.01.2022 It was very exciting digging up my potatoes last weekend. I planted the seed potatoes in 4 pots and ended up with almost half a bucket of potatoes. I have never grown potatoes in pots before, but I will be planting them again next year. There is nothing better than home grown fruit and vegies.

12.01.2022 Lunch packed for work. I even take breakfast as I walk to work most days and it is nice to have something to yummy to eat when I arrive. The jar is full of home made Kefir. I make everything the night before so it is ready to go as I race out the door in the morning.

12.01.2022 Has anyone ever tried Organic Black Strap Molasses to help them when they are feeling tired and run down? I have tried it twice now - once when I ran myself out of energy because of not eating enough and exercising too much and the second time when I felt myself coming down with a sore throat. A teaspoon 3 times a day helped me to recover in a couple of days. Molasses is full of natural iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sulphur, some zinc and minor minerals as well. You might like to try it next time you feel run down (along with a lots of healthy veggies and protein) and see if it works for you. Please let me know how you go. Jo



11.01.2022 I hope 2017 is starting out to be an amazing year for you. Here is the recipe that goes with the picture below. It is a quick and easy breakfast made the night before, which is great for busy people to grab out of the fridge as they rush out the door in the morning. Use a sealable container and add between 30 - 40 grams (organic) oats, 1 desertspoon chia seeds, 3/4 cup milk of choice (I use Macadamia and Coconut milk mixed) 2 desertspoons natural yogurt and natural honey to taste. Stir and leave in the fridge over night. In the morning add a handful of berries, a chopped banana or fruit in season and a sprinkle of cinnamon I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

02.01.2022 This video may be from America, but I believe the chemical sprays used in Australia is not much different. If you can, choose Organic products and shop at the local markets to get farm fresh produce rather than fruit and vegetables that have been kept in cold storage.

I have found some amazing recipes on the Raw Food web sites. I never realised how tasty raw food can be and how many different recipes there are. I made this really yummy Raw Passionfruit and Mango Cheesecake. It is easy to make - no sugar and all natural ingredients.
