Couldn’t get my breath, the air felt so thick, it was hot, my form went out the window and I felt like stopping just after starting BUT I didn’t and that run will make all the next ones a lil easier! 24.01.2022 Veg Curry Recipe 1 Onion 1 Clove of Garlic 1/2 a large Sweet Potato... 1/2 a small Butternut Pumpkin 1 Tsp Cumin, Paprika 1 Tbls Tumeric and Garam Masala Sprinkle of Nutmeg 2 Tins of Tomatoes 2 Cups of Veg Stock 1 Tin of Cocunut Cream 1 Tin of Lentils (washed and drained) Drizzle of Honey 1 Cup of Broccoli and Beans 1/2 a Lime 1. Sautée onion and garlic until soft 2. Add cubed sweet potato, carrot and pumpkin, cook for 3 mins 3. Add spices, cook for 4 mins 4. Add tomatoes and lentils 5. Add honey 6. Simmer until veggies are soft 7. Add stock in stages and reduce 8. Add beans and broccoli and warm through 9. Add coconut cream stir thru- leave simmer for 5 mins 10. Watching them run back and forth and listening to their giggles was the best! 17.01.2022 Topped off a shitty week with an Asthma Attack... if you’re like me and don’t like inconveniencing people-please slap yourself like I needed. Thank goodness for the lovely staff at the HB ED! This one came on super quick with my current cold and I panicked this time which made it worse. All good and back home now! Just a reminder- when you can’t breath you are not inconveniencing people!!!!! When will I learn
16.01.2022 Yep it’s pizza again this week. Pumpkin and Pine Nuts on a GF base without diary.. it took all my will to not load this baby with cheeeeessseeee! That’s the only thing I have really missing the last month. The biggest help for me is to not say I’m cutting it out. For some reason when I do that I want it more. So I say I am limiting dairy and grain . And #boom I don’t find myself cornered in the fridge shoving all the dairy I can see into mouth!!! Weird right? Our mindset matters soooooo much! Keep pushing those thoughts around until you find ones which work #healthyactivemums #chasing50kgweightloss
14.01.2022 I honestly couldn’t BELIEVE I had hit the 70’s!!!!!!!! That was my goal before Christmas! 6kg loss for the month Time to set more goals. I don’t own scales (so I used my parents) and it was important to me to use how my clothes feel and my progress shots hence why I posted them first. I was sitting at 98kg when I started chipping away at this weight 2.5 years ago. It’s finally budging!!! F*** me this mum needs a pedi!!!!! Self is so damn hard after kids! Except for running haha
14.01.2022 I have just spent the best three days away. As one of the Managers of the Athletes with Disabilities my role was to support these amazing 10-12 year olds whilst they compete. Being trials for nationals (Queensland Team) is was very offical and a new level of competition for me. WHAT AN HONOUR, too spend my time with these incredibly courageous young athletes. I shed far to many tears at their sheer determination and my nickname is now goosebumps. I cheered, I jumped up and d...own and I hugged all these kids goodbye and can’t wait to see them all again. My newest friend is this young women. Her technique in every event was flawless (and she also competes against able body athletes and wins) these children are the most gracious children who cheer each other and are absolutely chasing down their dreams. It is a blessing to be able to share these moments. I always LOVE my days away with sport- but this is by far my most favourite memory and I can only hope I get the chance again next year! PS- What made it even better was watching one of my students I teach come home with SIX medals!!!! 3 Gold 1 Silver 2 Bronze 1 Record Broken and a possible 2nd and these are still being processed. The second students attending my school came away with 2 Gold and smashed both records Just AMAZED I am a huge advocate for everyone being given the chance to have a go! #startstrongfinishstronger #believetoachieve

(Seriously I would love some peace) Someone is hungry The other needs the toilet and reminds YOU they would like their bum wiped Someone is hungry Time for breakfast (after 2 entrees) Let’s get dressed I’m showering answer why the MOON is not out...among the other questions asked and you better NOT reply with I DONT KNOW LET ALONE I DONT GIVE A CRAP (At this point in time) Breakfast for the third time Toddler wants breakfast Breakfast made however goes uneaten Load of washing Heat up coffee but forget it’s in there until you are in the car Wash up Make breakfast for the 10382712 time Reply to co-worker who asked how you have been with Yeah just chipper mate. Find a MATCHING SOCK???????? Seriously that is like finding a new dinosaur fossil. Someone is hungry and doesn’t want to leave the house today. Soothe children who don’t want to go to Daycare Read your txt from your Nan and reply in your head and really don’t get to text back for 10 days Curse your husband for not being home even though he already left for the day Take the bin out Get in the car for work after Daycare drop offs, tears, hugs and Mummy don’t leave me. Cue wanting to cry in th car BEEEEFORE you face the stress of your work day which was 7:45 to 4:15 (WITHOUT A BREAK-My choice to work to keep up ) One hour to find a pharmacy for your sick child Shower and a chance to eat at 8:45pm Please at any chance you have give a MUM or anyone is this role time to catch their breath. 06.01.2022 Pasta Salad 250g Buckwheat Pasta 1/4 punnet of Cherry Tomatoes 1 Green Capsicum 1 Red Capsicum 3/4 of a Red Onion... 1 Tin of Mixed Beans 1 Lebanese Cucumber Balsamic and White Wine Vinegar S&P Cook the pasta- Dice all of the above and add as much vinegar as you like and serve in spinach #healthyactivemums #pastasalad #easydinners #vegetarianrecipes

02.01.2022 It feels so good to be home I was ready for the challenge while away and I feel like I did really well. Generally going away is a chance to overindulge in foods you might not normally eat. I felt pretty focused. First day and last day felt the hardest they were the travel days and it was a kinda grab what you can. We had a 2.5 hour flight and 4 ish hour drive. ... It was great to find some vegan meals I really enjoy trying them. The only not so healthy meals in 4 nights away were a serve of chips with my vegan dinner, ice-cream that was delish and a lolly on the plane home because GOD I needed some sugar. So all in all I’m pretty bloody proud of having A LOT of temptation in front of me and sticking to my plan but not letting it take over an feeling let down about the the chips... at the end of the day that’s not going to make or break me. First day at the trials I did 19k steps and 16k the following. I found the last night the hardest, I was beyond tired and mentally not as strong and I didn’t quite ‘care’ what I ate and opted for a Chicken BLT. This is my first big bit of meat in 6 weeks and honestly, I didn’t enjoy it and didnt eat even half. Being so tired and STARVING led to the choice and I can get over that now easily. How is every one else traveling?
