16.01.2022 Ideas on how to RELAX!!! I shared this with a friend questioning why they found it hard to relax and though I would post it for everyone as it affects most people... The first reason why people can'i relax is normally because of GUILT. Spending time on yourself is often thought of as a selfish thing to do.... By NOT spending time on yourself is actually the selfish thing to do. Why? Because unless you find time to check out of the world and do something for yourself, then it affects all those around you, and not always in a positive way: tired, cranky, moody Try to spend at least 1 hour per week just doing something for yourself, like - go sit on a beach somewhere, - get a massage, - go have a few drinks (yes, having a few relaxing drinks is good for you). - fill the bath, light some candles, put your fave music on, - put RELAX reminders up around the house, - find a Yoga class The second reason is because most people DON’T know how to relax anyway. The only way to learn how to relax is to start doing what I said above: do something for yourself once a week, Get iinto the habit of doing it regularly. One reason why people find it hard to relax is because they don’t know how to turn their brain off. This comes from going, and going, and going all day. And when they finally get to bed, they are so wound-up from all the day's activities, they can’t get to sleep. Too many people are like this. Try stopping all activities an hour or two before bed. Or plan your day so that you have those last couple of hours to get ready to sleep. The failure to relax causes stress. Stress makes us sick. Sickness causes our bodies to fail. Failure in our bodies causeswell, you know. Take time to relaxThe people around you will love you more for it!!!
