This point of calmness is exactly the same as you experience while you are daydreaming hence it is something that happens to you naturally and is a place where your working mind switches off. At this point your unconscious mind is open and receptive to positive suggestions bringing about real change in your life. Can anybody be hypnotised? yes in short, however if you don’t want to be hypnotised it won’t happen and I don’t attempt Hypnotherapy in these cases. While in hypnosis you are in control at all times and can hear all that is being said. 13.01.2022 So why is weight gain so common after giving up smoking? In some cases, people will replace cigarettes with food or sweets but in most cases, its actually the fact you are burning fewer calories when you become a non-smoker. Every time you smoke a cigarette your blood pressures goes up, your heart rate goes up, even though you think the cigarette is calming you down. Your body works hard to try and release the toxins you have just inhaled via the tobacco. So you burn more cal...ories as a smoker than what you do as a non-smoker. It's important to cut back your food intake a little after giving up smoking just to sure your weight doesn't get away on you. It's not uncommon to crave sweet foods for the first few days after giving up as well. While your body is healing itself it can become a little insulin-deficient, have a small glass of real orange juice every hour or so in those first few days to help relieve the cravings. 08.01.2022 If you are struggling with negative thoughts, feelings of doom and gloom or even bouts of anxiety try this trick it works wonders. Make a list of experiences from your past where you "felt" extremely happy. It doesn't have to be a huge list, two or three dominant memories is all you need. You are focussing on the "feeling" of joy and happiness that you experienced at that time. When you do have a bout of negative thinking just focus on the positive feeling from the memory unt...il it becomes the dominant thought. Fixating on the positive feeling from your memory will override the negative thought quickly to lift you out of the dark place you find yourself. Fighting the negative thought only gives it more power over you. By bringing the positive feeling to mind you take away the hold the undesirable thought has on you. Keep that feeling on your mind for as long as you can while you go about your day so it becomes your dominant feeling regardless of what is going on around you. Over time that feeling will become your default setting. Enjoy your day, Barry

05.01.2022 Stop Smoking. Being an ex-smoker myself I know how difficult it can be to give up the smokes. I tried different techniques but couldn't quite kick the habit. That was until somebody told me about a Hypnotherapist in my home town that could help people give up. So I booked a session and more than twenty years later I am still a non-smoker. 03.01.2022 So how many sessions do I need to gain the relief I seek? The short answer is, it varies! With stop smoking, I have had people completely stop after one visit, however, most people will need two or three visits to kick the habit completely (and that is how the treatment is structured) Single event PTSD and Phobias normally need only one session. Weight loss, one or two. Depression and Anxiety can take three or four sessions until there are some solid benefits. Motivation, Na...il Biting, Fibromyalgia, Pain Control normally just one visit. 03.01.2022 Weight Loss. I have held off on providing treatment for weight loss until now. I now have a regime available that I have a lot of confidence in and it is providing good results with the people that have used it so far. The treatment is split into three parts, general motivation to do what it takes, then addressing the reason for being overweight (emotional eating, junk food etc) and then motivation to exercise. 01.01.2022 Irritable Bowel Syndrome affects 1 in 7 people to one extent or another. IBS is an area where there has been a good success rate using Hypnotherapy as a treatment. I think there is a lot more to the mind-gut link hence Hypnotherapies results so far. Although I'm only getting going this is an ailment that I have definitely had good results. The treatment is quite simple but very effective and is usually sorted in two visits.
