25.01.2022 Welcoming the newest member of the Heal thy Mind Therapy Services team! *message from Shanaya Currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Monash University, I have been fortunate enough to quickly realize my standout interest towards developmental psychology specifically. Since then, I have nurtured an eagerness to put my knowledgeinto practice through helping the younger generation to begin leading comfortable and joyful lives. I hope to soon supplement my appreciation of psychology with a Masters degree in the field within the coming years

18.01.2022 Welcoming one of our newest junior therapists to the Heal thy Mind Therapy Services team!! *message from Alexis* Hello! I'm Alexis and am currently finding writing this description to be a challenging... concept. This little box alone is not enough space to describe my genuine passion in interacting, educating and teaching children. Currently, I am studying to pursue a carer in the Disability Education Industry and immerse myself in every new opportunity. I am learning to value the importance of inclusive, fair practices and further develop my ability to create and sustain positive relationships. Caring for a child entails the responsibility of providing a supportive, nurturing and safe environment where they can enjoy themselves and maximise their outcomes. I firmly believe that these qualities are fundamental when engaging with children - particular, those diagnosed with additional needs - and aspire to continue growing these skills during my teaching journey. 11.01.2022 It's one thing to set a goal and call it a day. While you sit around waiting for it to manifest out of thin air or fall in your lap. But if you're serious about bringing your goals to fruition then they need to be smart. By literal definition of the word and by the acronym that S.M.A.R. T stands for. Specific- your goal needs to be specific and not just a broad, flakey idea. What exactly do you want to achieve. Measurable- is it measurable? How will you know you've reached i...t? How are you guaging your progress? Eg. I can now run 2km my goal is to improve by 3km and be able to run 5km. Achievable- is your goal achievable? Can you do it within your timeline? Is it specific enough to be achieved by 1 person? Relevant- am I motivated enough to work hard to achieve this goal? Is it relevant to me, my situation? Time-based- what timeframe do I expect to achieve this goal by. Do i have small deadlines in between to help me progress towards the final outcome?
