24.01.2022 Good Afternoon Everybody, This is just a reminder to all of our fur baby owners that that time of year is already upon us! Yes, we are talking about snake season.. We have known sightings of browns + tigers out and about ranging from and in between Hepburn shire +Loddon shire. When bitten by a snake animals can present with:... -Salivation -Vomiting -Muscle tremors -Dilated pupils -Lethargy -Respiratory distress -Collapse If you suspect your pet has been bitten by a snake, please phone the clinic immediately on 5472 5477. As the weather warms up this also comes as a time to remember our cars heat up very quickly even when it is not hot outside.... Take the RSPCA pledge this summer and never leave your pets unattended. We hope our wonderful followers, clients + pets are staying safe and keeping healthy. At this point in time we are still asking you to wait outside of the clinic while we serve you - A team meeting is scheduled to discuss easing the current precautions we have in place and when we will these will be eased. Thanks everyone!!

23.01.2022 Well today is international Veterinary Nurse Day! We would like to thank & wish all the amazing nurses out their a very happy vet nurse day. Today is your day of global recognition - to hold your head high & be proud of the care you give and the duties perform at every shift. Unfortunately we know the tireless work that you do doesn't always get the recognition and praise it deserves. Veterinary nurses truly are the back bone of every single practice you walk into & they wou...ld not operate so smoothly if it weren't for them. Behind the scenes they are the carers of your pets for the duration of their stay, anaesthetists, administers, cleaners, appointment makers, schedule and day organizers, surgical assistants, groomers, responsible for paperwork, emotional supports, empaths, blood collectors, in house pathologists, radiologists. The list goes on and on from handing you your puppy pack at your first visit - to being the reassuring face and treat/pat giver for when it's time for your pet to cross over the rainbow bridge. We are so proud and thankful for our team of caring vet nurses who give their all for every single patient & client. The long and at times hard days that you continue to take in your stride. Your dedication and hard work do not go unrecognized in the clinic. So here's to the vet nurses who work tirelessly in our fantastic practise & ALL around the world! Today is your day to be celebrated and to get the word out about all the duties you REALLY do in a day of the life !!

22.01.2022 Exciting news!! No more pot holes in the car park!! This Wednesday the 28th of October we are getting our entire car park sealed (YIPPEEE!) Due to this the entire front entrance will not be accessible - we will be calling all of our current booked appointments to advise that entry will be at the back of the building. To get to this the track is located between the midland highway side of the antique complex and the railway line, leading to the back staff car park. Signage wi...ll be visible to point you in the right direction. Please be aware of this when visiting the clinic on Wednesday for appointments & medication pick ups ect. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

12.01.2022 Thanks for the awesome post Bronwyn, we also love seeing you & beautiful Misha as well <3

11.01.2022 This is handsome Billy the goat - he came to us with a partial urethral obstruction. This means poor Billy was unable to urinate properly. He ended up having a general anaesthetic to clear up the blockage and recovered super well. His mum could not be more happy and thankful of the outcome and sent us this beautiful photo of him in our car park to thank us. Happy days for Mr. Billy!

08.01.2022 Miss Ellie came to us with a grass seed stuck up her snoot & Dr. Dean was able to show off his endoscope skills here at the clinic. In finding what he likes to describe "the little aliens that are making green glow worms" - Also known as the mucous being created from the irritation of having a foreign object up her nose. Ellie will be feeling much better after her procedure.

01.01.2022 COVID UPDATE Please take the time to read this post & our current covid protocol below (it is a long but informative one) This shared post gives a great insight to what is going on behind the scenes in many clinics during this pandemic.... Similar to the first lock down we have implied some new protocols at the practice for staff and client safety: * PLEASE arrive for your appointment with your mask fitted and on CORRECTLY, our staff are all doing the same . * Clients are to remain out side the building throughout the duration of appointments. Please phone reception to alert staff of your arrival and which vehicle you are in, we will come to you. Staff will also come out for payment ect. * Please phone for bookings/ordering medication or take advantage of our contactless online booking system . Limiting unnecessary visits to the practice . * Unfortunately at the moment we are delaying new bookings for routine surgeries and consults for approx 6 weeks . These include things such as desexing, annual check ups and vaccines . We need to limit non urgent client interactions. * If you choose to wait outside rather then in your vehicle, we ask that just ONE person from the household does this. Please do not crowd around the front door , we need everyone to continue social distancing while on our premises. * Please note that we are currently under a lot of pressure and have been busier then ever. We know that longer then normal wait times have been occuring all round - But please note as stressful as this may be, we will not tolerate any abusive behavior. Again, we thank all of our clients for your support, patience & doing the correct procedures to help your self & our team stay as safe as possible during your visit. We look forward to continuing to provide our wonderful services, for all of our valued fur patients
