25.01.2022 A few things have really hit home for me this week as I pack up what’s left of mum’s place. Having my family close by and supporting each other has been wonderful. For me success is a family who likes to hang out together, having a safe place to live and opportunities opening up for me. What is your vision of success as you enter midlife? Hubby’s includes a V6 one tonne Ute! I swear he is literally in love with it!



24.01.2022 Dinner cooked on the fire tonight, my last one for a while. I have enjoyed the change in scenery - but it’s time to return home for a few weeks before coming back for a grand garage sale, country style!

22.01.2022 This was an underlying belief I didn’t realise I had! (Denise Duffield-Thomas’ new book ‘Get Rich Lucky Bitch!) As a young adult I lived the life of Riley, working as a nanny. The first time I slept in Egyptian Cotton Damask sheets I fell in love with the little luxuries in life. But I realise now that I believed that I couldn’t ever be rich, what I considered truly rich. I do now, and I am working my way to creating that vision. It feels good, lighter and more ‘normal’ than ever before. It can be a simple decision to change your mindset - or it can be a slow transformation. Feeding your mind with the good stuff in life and share the same with others. What you nurture grows. What are you nurturing?

21.01.2022 Way before ‘The Secret’ there were a couple of people talking about money mindsets and how to create a wealthy abundant life. Florence Scovel Shinn would ‘speak the words’ for people to help them change their financial situation - back in the late 1800’s!!!! I reconnected with her wisdom yesterday while driving back from Bundaberg. Flooding your subconscious with positive statements about your life of abundance is the quickest way to turn things around and support you to take necessary action. ‘The game of life is a game of boomerangs. 18.01.2022 Nutrition is one of the quickest ways to have a positive experience as we transition to menopause! Yep - your doctor probably won't even tell you that - because they often don't KNOW!! I turned my 'crazy lady' symptoms around by keeping to three principles and NUTRITION WAS KEY. It's learning stuff like this that can help subside the tide of change. 17.01.2022 Well, hubby got a talking to a few weeks ago from the doctor. I will admit she looked at me a few times too. I recently entered my fifth decade. He’s not far behind me. Dr Mary explained (with a ‘take me seriously people stare’) you’ll see smokers in their 70’s, drinkers in their 70’s but you don’t see many fat 70 year olds, they just don’t make it. WHOA! Old Mac came home 5kg lighter from his shift, he didn’t drink beer. All I did was add in two handfuls of rocket to my me...als when I remembered. It’s funny, when we give our bodies what they crave - dense nutrition - our bodies don’t store energy in the form of fat. It really is that simple. Eat real food without the chemicals (that’s another reason our body stores fat - it’s protecting our system from toxins) and your body will gravitate to its ideal weight and shape! Too simple I guess you are thinking. If you want to lose weight, don’t do anything drastic - just increase your real food. See what happens! See more



16.01.2022 Morning Mums, it’s Menopause Monday where I share a few tips about a symptom of ‘The Change’. Inflammation is a major issue for our bodies when we are transitioning to menopause. It can make us feel bloated, irritable, blocks signals to your nervous system sending weird and wacky messages to our brains resulting in pain, fatigue, irritability in our body and brain and telling our immune system to ramp things up. Our cortisol levels (stress hormone) spike and we buy a ticket ...to an unpleasant merry go round ride. You can get off and start a new positive experience by supporting your body and your mind with three things. Deep Breathing. 3 deep breathes over one minute and repeat at least 4-6 times a day (or more). Provide your body with nutrient dense meals (lots of dark leafy greens, good fats and quality protein). Gently move your body to wake up your internal systems - it could be walking, yoga, for me it’s bobbing about in the pool. Create an anchor for your mind. A positive vision for your future will help to pull you through periods of procrastination, trigger your motivation to take action on what you want in life and allow your brain to put the little daily crisis’s we have (which are really only inconveniences but when our bodies are in stress mode - they are perceived as major issues) into perspective and find quick ways to resolve them as your focus will be on a pleasant experience, this calms your mind and then calms and relaxes your body Easy Peasy. We just need to do it regularly- which is why I created Healthy Wealthy Mums I am off to enjoy my last day in Melbourne with my daughter. 14.01.2022 I didn’t think I did, but somewhere along the way I picked up the belief ‘you have to work hard for your money’! I thought the belief was when you work hard - you get rewarded - but somehow it flipped - or maybe it was just my usual view on things - looking at life through rose coloured glasses lol. Now I have spotted it, it’s time to morph that little energy sucker into a belief that is in alignment with my vision. To jump straight to ‘ I don’t have to work for money’ would be a massive leap which might involve a bumpy path - the more gentle approach is thinking about HOW I make money and making it enjoyable

12.01.2022 I got the all clear from my doctor, the world isn’t spinning as much so I am getting started on my Ultimate Menopause Makeover!! I am amping things up this round. Initially when I went through this process I just wanted to balance out my hormones and not feel like I was in an unsteady roller coaster ride! I got significant positive results within ten days. This time, I am overhauling all aspects of my life. I’ll actively tone up my body and strengthen my core - improve my skin and tweak my food intake to keep reducing the inflammation in my body (best pain relief!). My wealth status needs an overhaul too - Old Mac (hubby) and I have semi retirement in sight, so we may as well start prepping now while change is thrust upon us.
