25.01.2022 Lots of parents are now educating children at home. Look at this fabulous list of online resources. I will be certainly taking a look at them and incorporating into therapy sessions.

24.01.2022 The lovely team that I used to work with at GOSH.

24.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day. One of the parts of my role that I love the most is that I get to see women flourish in so many different ways, from little girls learning to communicate and advocate for themselves, through to mothers who are raising their child to be the best they can be, to my colleagues and mentees that I work closely with from other organisations achieving their career goals. The health profession and small business world are full of incredible women doing what they are passionate about. I’m so grateful to be a small part of this network of inspiring women. To all the strong girls and women I work with, the sky is the limit. #internationalwomensday #equality #dreams #strength #raiseeachotherup #dreambig

18.01.2022 Check out this 20 questions game via Chrome or Google Home. You have 20 yes/no questions to ask to try and figure out what the mystery animal is. It is great for so many listening, speech and language goals, whilst also being a fun game for children or adults to play. ... If playing on chrome via your computer - Type in the browser 'mysteryanimal.withgoogle.com' and follow the instructions. If playing on Google Home, say 'Hey Google, talk to mystery animal' Have fun!

16.01.2022 The cochlear implant has certainly changed the trajectories for many deaf children globally. It has been an absolute pleasure to have had a front row seat to watching this device ( paired with quality therapy of course) change the lives of many children. Thank you Professor Clark.

13.01.2022 Look at these FREE fabulous resources for learning to read. Thank you Little Learners Love Literacy

12.01.2022 The current events can be hard for young children to understand. Nosy Crow has a free book that explains Coronavirus to your children.

11.01.2022 Books with props Do you find it difficult to read to your toddler or preschooler? Do you find it difficult to keep their attention for the length of the book? Books with props are a great way to build a young child’s interest in books. Little ones love repetition and getting to explore the objects alongside the story. I am putting together some props for a booksharing activity with a toddler and their parents tomorrow. I am still on the hunt for a feather and an owl. If you can’t find the objects you can always print off or draw pictures and stick them on paddle pop sticks. What books do you like to read with props? This is one of my favourites. #avt #lsls #parentcoaching #juliadonaldsonbooks #bookswithprops #speechpathology #cochlearimplants #hearingaids
