25.01.2022 Breathwork is a heart centred process and practice that brings us closer to our truth. Our truth being our innate goodness, that which life supports to flourish. Trauma experienced from birth and life, unless fully felt, leaves embedded emotion in our bodies at a cellular level. Left unprocessed, these emotions can be the cause of physical illness and dis-ease, mental issues such as anxiety and depression, and habitual behaviour that inhibits our growth and moving forward in ...life. The Breathwork process I facilitate is conscious connected breathing. By bringing awareness to our breath in a flow state, our subconscious brings to the fore these traumas and experiences, in order to integrate them and be free from those stuck emotions. Being a heart centred process, Breathwork is gentle and guided only by our readiness to invite change and growth in our lives. Breathwork is a journey that brings us closer to our hearts truth. 09.01.2022 Have you forgotten about yourself this Christmas and New Year? The greatest gift you can give yourself, is the gift of presence. You've very likely had a busy year, experienced stress and possible trauma and have been looking forward to these holidays for a break. But have you truly stopped yet? Have you taken the time to re-connect with you inner self, to dive inward and acknowledge where you are in life?... The new year brings with it the opportunity to move forward, address and dissolve issues that are holding you back and to make new decisions that allow you new freedoms. During a Breathwork session you can give yourself permission to slow down and be present with yourself. It is here you will experience transformation by clearing blockages, having a deeper understanding of past behaviours and integrate new decisions and choices. In a deep Breathwork journey, I recommend 5 to 10 sessions. As the holidays are short and may not allow you this amount of time, I encourage you to try 1 - 2 sessions which will still deliver immediate benefits that can be life changing in the moment. 07.01.2022 This morning as the sun rose, gleaming with colour, casting its' rays over the ocean, it was easy to see the perfection and to feel the bliss in the moment. Feelings of happiness and gratefulness arose with no prompting or effort. So how can we experience that same happiness, gratefulness and bliss at our times of discomfort? Work is demanding and stressful, your child has lost their jumper again, your partner has done that thing again that drives you nuts. You're feeling str...essed or anxious more often than you'd like to be. A simple exercise we can all do is to take 3 minutes. Put a timer on if it help and sit comfortably. Close your eyes and take 3 very deep but gentle breaths down to your belly. On each exhalation, really let your whole body relax and soften. Begin then to follow your breath moving in and out of your body. Start to notice how your body feels. Noticing, without any wrong or rights, any tense spots, heavy or light spots, sore or relaxed parts. The key here is feeling your body as it is in that moment, in the present. Sometimes an emotion may arise, feel that too, no need to understand it, just allow it to come and go. You'll most likely find the 3 minutes passes quickly, but you'll be left with a sense, even if just for a moment, of the perfection and bliss in that space you created. Bringing presence to our life is an important tool to carry with you. Connecting with your body and your breath is in its' simplest form, presence and bliss..
