24.01.2022 Top 9 of 2020 - wooo this was tough guys + gals!! What a year of highs, lows, challenges + dreams that came true for us at H&S We had the joy of marrying 35 couples as well as the sadness that sits with us for many of our clients (interstate + worldwide) that have postponed or cancelled their wedding plans during this year....... A chapter of Captain Correli’s Mandolin reminds me that love is the ultimate winner, whatever hurdles hit us + however we get there: ... Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like volcanoes and then subsides And when it subsides, you have to make a decision You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part Because this is what love is Love is not breathlessness, It is not excitement, It is not the promulgation of eternal passion That is just being in love which any fool can do Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, And this is both an art and a fortunate accident Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, And when all the pretty blossom have fallen from their branches, They find that they are one tree and not two. We ended up getting Diana and her team on board for the full package, the wedding planning, set up/pack down, secret bridesmaid service and we also ended up hiring a lot of furniture and decorations from her too. We do not regret a single cent, in fact I think it was the best money we spent for our whole wedding. The planning process became enjoyable, we managed to stick to a budget and on the day I was able to put my phone away and focus on being present whilst having 100% trust that it would all be taken care of.
