18.01.2022 ‘Moongate Entry’ Original design Safehaven Studios Fabricated & funded Piacentini & Son Project Management Tony Critchley... As a pedestrian passageway, the elegant circular form of our Moongate invites the walker to enter in to the stillness of centre, as we begin walking the labyrinth. In sacred gardens around the world, Moongates go back thousands of years with many symbolic meanings, but having the primary purpose of inviting intellectual contemplation of nature & the cycle of life. (Perfect for ceremonies and as has been suggested - wedding photos) We are so proud to see this beautiful form finally come to fruition & hope that our community will enjoy it for many years to come. Stay tuned for the final few elements on our labyrinth space coming together over the next few weeks (including signage, seating & a welcome disc) We are immeasurably grateful to Colin Piacentini for his generous sponsorship & recognition of the value of such spaces for our community & indeed the wider southwest region.

16.01.2022 Bunbury Mail has published our media release on Bunbury Garden Labyrinth! https://www.bunburymail.com.au//new-addition-for-bunburys/

14.01.2022 To creating these sorts of spaces for Schools, Colleges & Universities; so that students & staff have ways to centre, ways to come together, ways to find their... way through stressful times. Brava @discover_labyrinths #Repost @discover_labyrinths with @get_repost Even though I couldn’t create lunations for this 5-Circuit labyrinth, I included 28 solar powered lanterns around the perimeter to stand in for them and represent one lunar cycle. Another bonus is the lanterns reflect the iconic street lamps throughout campus and call to students to discover the space at night!

10.01.2022 Our statement of intent for Chefs Long Table Charity Lunch. 2 weeks away now, have you got your ticket? ‘Projects of Heart and Soul WA Inc will purchase materials to build Bunbury Garden Labyrinth, a paved pathway comprising seven unfolding circles coming to a central point, located in Queens Gardens. Key contributors are City of Bunbury and sponsors Simcoa, Holcim and Piacentini. Through the ages and in every culture, labyrinths have been created in natural settings and in places of ceremony, worship and healing to bring the community together. People will be encouraged to move quietly through the labyrinth, to relax, pause & be mindful.’

01.01.2022 Our Committee of Management have made the difficult but wise decision to suspend plans for our official opening of #bunburygardenlabyrinth due to #COVID19. While we #stayathome, practice #socialdistancing and self-isolation, we express again our gratitude to all who have contributed to our design, fundraising & implementation process. Once we are through this difficult time, we look forward to resuming plans for celebrating & using our beautiful labyrinth space together with you
