It was all largely due to the LFC Supporters Club of NSW - who in the same year were voted by Liverpool FC as their number one Supporters Club in the world. 15.01.2022 Reflections from 2014 and the inaugural staging of the MARC ARCURI CUP in the memory of the talented 15yo footballer who died of a heart attack playing the game he loved most for the Austral SC in Sydney. The Foundation setup in his honour has raised thousands of dollars to rollout defibrillators into the Australian football Community. Here is a look back at the inaugural Event in 2014. Today we held the first ever FST Cup In Memory of young Marc Arcuri who passed away ...a few months ago while playing football. Most of the boys who played didn't know Marc but many know his family and wanted to come together and do something meaningful. We raised more than $4500 to purchase a defibrillator for Marc's club Austral FC and another one for the club that hosted the day - Norwest Football Club. So many people gave their time and donated their money to make it a truly memorable day. Big thanks to all of you- especially Darren Maroun from Norwest, Robby Mansour George Elias Giuseppe Mirigliani Marco Mirigliani Don Lucci Shayan Khoshab and the entire Arcuri family (Frenmore Smallgoods) for donating the meat for the bbq. Thanks to the many other sponsors including Castle Trophies, Austral FC, Norwest FC, Jazzveh and Anais restaurants and everyone who either donated $10 or $300... A great day. This was launched in 2017 with the NSW Govt offering a total of 4-million to help purchase defibs for sport and recreation facilities. The latest program is now open until APRIL 12, 2021. Greg Page (original yellow Wiggle) and I were invited by the Govt for the media announcement which was well a...ttended. What pleased me most was also having Greg take a genuine interest in HEARTBEAT OF FOOTBALL along with the on-going support today from the likes of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, Response for Life, Deploy Football and Forest Rangers FC. 10.01.2022 The saddest of news. A heart attack has taken one of the great cricket stars both on and off the field. A man I have long admired has died suddenly in Mumbai. I have worked with Dean Jones over the years - particularly during the early days/years of pay tv in Australia during mid 1990s. In recent times Ive been blessed to meet up with Dean who has covered cricket for Star Sports while I would be commentating the Indian Super League. Dean lit up a room. Everyone loves him. Ill never forget him and I will forever cherish those social moments we spent here in Australia and in Mumbai. RIP Deano. Thoughts and prayers are with Deans family & friends. 03.01.2022 A massive day for our Charity tomorrow

03.01.2022 HOF hopes that everyone is enjoying the off-season. It can also be an opportune time to get a medical checkup. Our heart health testing days with the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute had to be stopped because of Covid 19 after just three testing days but we will bounce back in 2021. On September 3, HOF was invited by the NSW Government to a $1,000,000 defibrillator rollout announcement in Sydney. Acting Sport Minister Geoff Lee, a strong advocate in the heart health space, was tested along with many others at the media briefing. Please take a close look at this video.
