Its now time for part 2 of the survey and we ask you to all be part of this as parents of heart kids. 13.01.2022 WA Primary Health Alliance in conjunction with ConnectGroups - Support Groups Association WA Inc. and HeartKids Ltd are conducting a project to raise awareness,... educate and increase the use of Telehealth for those with diagnosed chronic conditions, such as our heart kids. Thank you to those who took the time to respond to the Telehealth survey we posted a couple weeks ago, we had a fantastic response providing us with some extremely valuable information. Some of the interesting findings from the survey were 48% avoided going to the GP due to Covid-19, and only 45% of those surveyed used the Telehealth service. As a result from the survey findings the attached documents have been created to provide some information on Telehealth services, including FAQs, testimonials from medical professionals and consumers. Our very own heart kid mum, Sarah provided an awesome testimonial video which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/2zAmo1P_mDw Other testimonials can also be viewed here: https://connectgroups.org.au/telehealth-videos/ We hope you find the information valuable and may influence your decision to use Telehealth services in the future. Any feedback is welcomed in the comments below.

06.01.2022 We are sad to announce that Rob Lutter has given notice of his resignation as CEO of HeartKids to pursue other opportunities. His last day with us will be Frida...y 28th August 2020. In the time that he has been with us, he has led and motivated a highly skilled and resilient team of managers and staff throughout Australia. They have worked tirelessly, including through challenging times such as the bush fires in late 2019 and the COVID 19 pandemic, to provide services to children, young people and adults with congenital (or acquired in childhood) heart disease (CHD) and their families and carers. Rob leaves HeartKids in a strong position, with the skills and resources to implement the National Strategic Action Plan for CHD, deliver innovative education and support programs for children and young adults with CHD, and continue to foster and secure investment in critical research in CHD. I am sure you will join the Board of Directors in thanking Rob for his contribution to the organisation. Please go to https://www.heartkids.org.au/whats-on/news/ceo-announcement for further information, The HeartKids Board would like to thank our supporters for your ongoing support of our work.
