Client had a guest who was vegan and needed to cater to her needs All dishes were 100% plant based 1st dish was vegetarian dolma 2nd dish was sautés green beans with caramelised onions and tomato ( yum) 3rd dish was silver beet and black eyed bean salad with caramelised red onions with garlic and lemon dressing, 4th dish was Roasted cauliflower mixed with Baby spinach then drizzled with tartator sauce ( tahini and garlic sauce with lemon and parsley) #vegetariandelights #vegandishes #catering #middleeasterncuisine

05.01.2022 This is just a run down. On what things cost and how long it takes to make a certain dish . I don’t believe people really take into consideration how long some meals can actually take us chefs/cooks to make . I hope from looking at this picture it will clarify. Why certain meals are charged the way they are . I don’t really need to justify my prices. However for many years I have been working at dirt cheap prices only to realise that other caterers have been charging doubl...e what I charge. If you want cheap food go to your local grocery store and you can buy a can of dolma for I believe $ 15.00 or even some precooked rice for $5.00 @ coles and Woolworths if you’re after fresh tasty meals shop around see what price works for you . Caterers work really hard to produce food that goes on the table . Don’t ever just look at the ingredients, take into consideration the time it takes to cook a certain dish . We all know that rolling and cooking vine leaves is the most time consuming dish when it comes to Middle Eastern cuisine See more
