11.01.2022 Telehealth Consultations Update all Cardiology patients The current COVID-19 (CoronaVirus) outbreak around the world is calling for us to change our current practices. Based in the evidence and health for all, Heart of Melbourne Cardiology has made the decision to offer telehealth consultations to our patients considering recent research and current protocols. The telehealth services will be available to the following groups: - People undergoing self-isolation or quarantin...e under medical advice from a doctor - People aged over 70 - Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander aged over 50 - People with chronic health issues or immunocompromised - Parents with new babies and pregnant women - Patients in vulnerable groups - Patients with chronic conditions New patients and patients requiring tests (ECG, Stress Echo etc) will still be seen at the clinic, however they will be screened beforehand via the telephone. We will endeavour to fit in all patients and all urgent requests based on the referral documentation. Our aim is to keep our patients, staff and families safe.
