Tracy wanted to give... back to the community that welcomed her and her family when they packed their bags and moved here. She also always wanted to open up a cafe of her own so it was the perfect fit. When Tracy speaks about ‘Heart of Semaphore' she’s very clear about one thing everybody is welcome!! 19.01.2022 Time to get christmassy! This Saturday! Some spots already filled!

19.01.2022 What a year!! Since opening our doors on April 9th of this year, we have opened day in day out with fresh, homemade foods & fabulous coffee (if we dont say so ourselves). Bar those (rather random) 3 days of lockdown, we have opened every day. The rollercoaster of restrictions on the hospitality industry has not been easy, let alone establishing a small business. We cannot thank the local community enough for the sheer level of support we have received, to the local artists f...or bringing life and colour to our walls, our lovely neighbours (namely Harcourts Smith - Semaphore & Semaphore Road Physio) for popping in daily for their coffees & goodies, for anyone who has gotten involved with our workshops, who has participated in our pay-it-forward scheme. To all our beautiful regulars (you know who you are), and anyone who has visited us this year, you truly make our day. As we all wind down towards the end of the year, we've decided we need a break too. We will be closed from December 24th through til January 2nd (reopening the 3rd). We will miss the daily bustle, but are also looking forward to some R&R! Again thank you for the endless support & kindness - we are excited to see what's in store for 2021!!

07.01.2022 Yesterday marked 4 months since we opened the Heart of Semaphore. It was not the grand opening wed planned, nor was opening during a pandemic part of the plan. We cannot put into words how grateful we are that we have been fully supported these past few months to the point that we arent just surviving, but thriving. Despite the challenging situation & the evolving restrictions, our beautiful community, not only local to Semaphore but Adelaide wide, kept us going. Thank you... to all of our regulars. Joy is a kiln forming glass artist, "using both vitrigraph and murrini techniques, and then encapsulating them using various firing temperatures to replicate the fragility of cell formations. There are so many wonderful reasons to felt soap! ... [ ] Wool is a natural, antibacterial, breathable material - meaning your soap will not harbour germs!
