24.01.2022 BREAKING: We are back! Save The Date - Saturday 25th July for our re-emergence event in the Piano Room @flutterbiescottagecafe with surprise guests, classical pianist Ayesha Gough and Mezzo Soprano Xenia Puskarz Thomas. Both artists have been favourites at Flutterbies in recent years, This year Ayesha Gough has been studying st the Royal College of Music in London, and was forced to return home to Australia due to COVID 19. Xenia has had an extraordinary period this past year..., studying for many months in New York with the worlds best Opera tutors. For this event, Social distancing restrictions will be in place - the Flutterbies Piano Room will be restricted to 10 live audience members, and will be simultaneously live streamed to our YouTube channel. 2:30pm start, tickets for the live audience as well as the streaming will be released this week. 23.01.2022 We are missing some of the big annual events in Tyalgum. Here is a throwback to 2 years ago, the Shepherds' Purse immersive production of Shakespeare's As You Like It from 2018 held at Flutterbies Cafe. Hoping it will be safe for this great annual event to take place next year in 2021

21.01.2022 Omg we cant believe this was 7 years ago!! The fabulous @bellshakespeare brought their Actors At Work production of Such Sweet Sorrow to Tyalgum Hall in 2013. A real hit with our audiences. We cant wait to bring you more of these events in the future.

19.01.2022 A Christmas gift for all to enjoy. In July our first event out of lockdown was this fabulous Piano and Opera concert with Classical Pianist Ayesha Gough and Soprano Xenia Puskark Thomas. This was performed live for a socially distanced audience of 15 people, and live streamed on YouTube Live. The full length live stream has not been widely seen until now! 16.01.2022 Last night we hosted a premier screening of our new special edition video of highlights from the last 10 years of the Annual Tyalgum Dance Spectacular. 15.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: On Saturday 21st November we have a very special gift for all. Due to COVID restrictions the annual Tyalgum Dance Spectacular will not be happening in its usual format. However, we will be releasing a special feature length video of highlights from previous years' shows featuring many many clips of never-before-seen footage, and some special guest presenters. This will be released on November 21st on our YouTube channel. There will also be a local screening for a small audience, with details to be announced shortly. Stay tuned!

Now the two fabulous artists here featured - @ayeshajustice and @xeniapuskarzthomas are performing together again in the new Piano Room at Flutterbies on Saturday 25th July. 04.01.2022 It is with a broken heart we say goodbye and thank you to the incomparable Ann Reinking, one of the great American dancer choreographers, a broadway legend and film actress, her phenomenal talent, poise, character and electricity as a performer was an inspiration to dancers and performers everywhere. Known widely for her film performances in 'All That Jazz' and 'Annie', she was one of a kind. Gone way too soon at age 71. She still had so much to give. God bless Annie, may Angels send you on your way to the God light. Dancing speedily on your way. Much Love

03.01.2022 Australian pianist Ayesha Gough is developing her own style grounded in strong traditional concepts with an inherent interest in the unique and engaging. A strong passion for new music, particularly that of Australian composers, has seen her premiere new works in 2016 and 2017 by Klotz and Yedid, and collaborate with Klotz for the premiere of Midnight Rain in 2018. First prize-winner at the 2015 Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, Ayesha performed with the Russian National Or...chestra in December 2018, under the baton of Mikhail Pletnev, as part of a concert held in memory of Lev Vlassenko. She has also performed with the Queensland Symphony, the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony, and the Queensland Pops Orchestras under such conductors as Edvard Tchivzhel, Nicholas Braithwaite, and Daniel Carter. Her recital opportunities have taken her throughout Australia, as well as New Zealand, Italy, Japan, and China. Ayesha studied under Oleg Stepanov for 10 years, both at a pre-tertiary and tertiary level at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. It is this period of study to which she attributes the foundation of her pianistic values, both in terms of the school of piano passed on by her teacher, and the gradual encouragement by other lecturers to explore new mediums. Throughout 2018, she continued study in Italy with Boris Petrushansky at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale "Incontri col Maestro". This year she has completed a Masters degree at the Royal College of Music, London. She has been awarded the Theme and Variations Foundation Award, the Brisbane Club Award, the QCGU Postgraduate Prize, the Joyce Campbell Lloyd scholarship, the Allison/Henderson scholarship, and in early 2017 she participated in the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy. Ayesha has been supported by Variety, the Children’s Charity, of which she is an International Ambassador. On Saturday 25th July, Ayesha will perform her 5th concert appearance in the Flutterbies piano room in Tyalgum performing solo works by Schumman, and much more.
