24.01.2022 So this cardigan has been a bit of a task! Was doom for a while because I was checking the length of the back to make sure when on the front to start the pattern, I noticed a hole towards the bottom part. Instead of RIP it from the end I decided to rip from the rib. Well that was taking forever so hubby came up with the idea of rip from the hole itself, which I decided to try out. The hole I work out was from silverfish. Luckily this is a cardigan for me. Knitted with Bendigo Woollen Mill Tweed (Forest Wood) 8ply. Machine Washable. Now to decide if I should block or not! #bendigowoollenmills #cardiganknitting #wool #forme
24.01.2022 There was a few first for me these last couple of days! 1. First time on a knitting retreat. 2. First time I have wind hank wool into a ball. 3. First time knitting a shawl. Also while on the retreat in Eagle Bay went out for lunch everyday and pop into a shop full of books and some yarns call @text&co in Dunsborough. Heard lots of like minded knitting people praying this book so had to have it. The shawl is by @fran.morg in the UK which was design for @thelittleknittingbox @littleboxofcrochet Amanda Bloom. The yarn is Exquisite 4ply in 2 colours Chantilly 010 and Knightsbridge 148 by @westyorkshirespinners WYS. Can’t wait to finish it so I can wear as a scarf.
22.01.2022 Finished knitting this blanket for our Granddaughter. I used King Cole Baby DK (8ply). Lovely yarn to knit and used my favourite pattern Feather & Fan. #knitting #DK #granddaughter
20.01.2022 A few weeks ago I completed a doggie jumper and set to customer which I shared on the page. Well her dog Seven decided he didn’t like it so his owner gave to a special friend who loves it. Here is a photo of her wearing said jumper. #gifted #doggiejumper
20.01.2022 Customer order - Getting cold in Victoria and her fur baby need a warm doggie jumper. This is a medium size jumper, using Cleckheaton Country 8ply pure wool. I happy to take orders for XS -L please pm if you would like to discuss an order. #knitting #doggycoat #Cleckheaton #Paton
19.01.2022 Nearly 2 years ago I was asked to knit a baby blanket for a customer who wanted to gift to a family member in England. As we were going to be there on holiday (remember those holiday, yep overseas) I was happy to knit it. Blanket is in my photos if anyone is interested, plus in the headed picture. So while travelling around over there I came across these same yarn (Acrylic) in 2 others colours on special. So how could I not buy to bring back home. Waiting for the day when I could use it to knit the same pattern for a new baby girl. So when our new Granddaughter was born 3 weeks ago I was really happy I was finally able start knitting it up. One customer order I’ve just finished and will be on its way tomorrow, sorry will have to wait to show you as I like the customer to see it first and I have to be onto the next project.
18.01.2022 With my customers permission I sharing these photos of her son wearing of the peg so to speak a beanie I had knitted. Her mum pick the 2 she purchased in Pinjarra WA and then they were posted to Melbourne. How cute does he look in this one. #kniitedbeanie #babycaroncakes
17.01.2022 Handknitted cardigan for my new Granddaughter. Pattern and yarn are Debbie Bliss. Lucky I gave it over today as Sienna will grow out of it pretty quickly. #debbiebliss #handknit #granddaughter
16.01.2022 Just had to show you this colour combo Granny Square. I so love it. It’s the start of the second row for the Leo blanket by Lucy @attic24. As I said it last post, I’m using the remainder of my Woodland blanket kit. #stylecraft #grannysquare #attic24 #crochet
11.01.2022 Finished this beautiful red cardigan for our Granddaughter who is 4 months old. I chose red as she has lovely dark hair like her daddy. The pattern is a Sirdar and yarn is Quince&co, chickadee bought from one of our LYS here in Perth. Last photo is our Granddaughter #Sirdar #quince&co. #knitting #granddaughter #calico&ivy
11.01.2022 Hand painted Poppies gifted to me by my sister from jade artz. Hanging now in our hallway. #jadeartz #handpainting #sisters #poppies
10.01.2022 Had a called out to fix these two sleeveless cardigans for a client. Having to sort out the bands on both due to being too long. Plus the green she ran out of the wool so used another one. I managed to get enough wool from the band to complete the second armband. Was touch and go if I would have enough to sew the armbands with the wool. Third photo shows how close I came to not being able to. Hopefully one happy client when I give them to her. #knitting #fixit
08.01.2022 Well it’s that time of year again, Halloween and in the Northern Hemisphere it’s Autumn which I mind ads is my favourite time of year. Both here in Australia and in the UK. So I started making these Pumpkin and I will have to say I’m obsessed with them. This is my little collection which I will be adding to, even a fabric one. If anyone is interested the large are $8 each and the small (not included the white design) are $5 each. Message me if you would like to place an order.
07.01.2022 So it’s wet and windy outside, so what’s to do. I having been knitting a cardigan for myself and was knitting one of the front when I noticed on the back piece there’s a hole! As it’s near the bottom towards the rib I decided to rip it from that end instead from the top. Amongst everything else I have on the go. This is taking a long time as it’s not so straight forward doing it that way. You can image I was a bit upset when I saw the hole. Think it may have been silver fish. Yarn is from Bendigo Woollen Mill and the pattern came free with it. Really looking forward to finishes this cardigan so I can wear it and of course starts something else!

06.01.2022 I’m a machine! Returning customer who loves knitting but can’t pick up and knit the neck and the sewing up. Another item tick of the list.
05.01.2022 Finished another jumper, this time for our eldest Grandson. Going to unpick the sleeves and bottom of front and back as they need to be a bit longer. He is growing quicker than I can keep up. Luckily I have spare yarn. I used Sirdar Crofters for the body and Sirdar Snuggly for the sleeves. Pattern is Sirdar 4904. #sirdar #knit #sirdarcrofters #sirdarsnuggly
05.01.2022 Well this has been a exciting week for me. I’ve had two deliveries from the UK. One #littleboxofcrochet took two months to get here and #littleboxofknitting (not so little might I add) which only took 2 weeks. Must have had a plane arriving from the UK at the right time. Reasons I ordered these boxes, well for starters I love them and @Amanda Bloom from #littleboxofcrochet you have been a god send on Instagram. Waking up in the morning and popping on to see if she’s left a vi...deo and when there is one it’s made my day. Missing them now. Anyway that’s the first reason second is when I get around to decorating our en suite the theme is going to be Old English seaside and the crocheted bunting is prefect. Designer is @Eleanora Tully. The designer for the beautiful knitted shawl is @fran.morg who is another one I looked forwarded to seeing her videos. So when I heard Fran had designed a knitted item for this box I had to order. Oh and look at those boxes, they are a work of Art in themselves. So looking forward to making these projects but will have to wait as I have a few things to finish off and there is a long list of project to do. If you like what you see pop over to Littleboxofcrochet and littleboxofknitting. Thank you once again Amanda (hope one day to visit your yarn shop to meet you) and thank you Fran. See more
04.01.2022 A few weeks ago I saw on a Facebook page a lady asking if anyone could knit a Doggie coat for her aged fur baby. I said I could help and she contacted me showing me a coat/jumper she was interested. I wasn’t able to get the pattern but set about looking for one similar. Good old Ravelry came to the rescue. With out proper measures and only going on a photo, I think I got it fairly right. This is my first doggie coat/jumper I’ve ever made. If anyone is interested I’m happy to make from XS-L dog sizes. I now have other patterns as well. This coat I used pure wool for the Victorian cool winter. Last photo I used a toy not quite big enough. #doggiecoat #knitting #ravelry #cleckheaton
04.01.2022 Another project finished. This time a jumper for one of our Grandsons. Sirdar pattern using Fiddlesticks 8ply. Like the roll neck even though it’s knitted up slightly big. The photo is not showing the true colour. #knitting #jumper #Grandson

01.01.2022 So who has been doing things around the house or started a project they have been wanting to do for ages. I have quite a few things on the go myself. Decorating the toilet, well I’ve done the filling so far. Next to wash the walls ready for painting. Also have a few knitting projects on the go won’t say much else about them until they are finished. One bit of good news is we have become Grandparents again. This time a little girl, Sienna Lee was born on the 19th May. So looki...ng forward to meeting her, hopefully this week sometime. Yep I will be knitting a few things for her. About a week ago I got a pm from a lady saying she had seen on Marketplace that I do knitting and wonder if I could help her. She had knitted the pieces for a jumper and could not get the neck right. The jumper is for her daughter and the neck hole was too small. We meet up at one of of local shopping centres and had a chat & coffee. So of course I was happy to help and as you can see from the photos it’s now ready to be collected. I will say, I don’t enjoy sewing up! Stay safe and happy crafting. See more
