25.01.2022 $10m!!! Wow youre a generous bunch Australia We are completely blown away by this AMAZING result, and so so proud to have played a part in this AWESOME campaign!

24.01.2022 Choosing one single winner of the Hearts Gnominator just wasn't going to cut it for June. So in recognition of these exceptional times, and our incredibly hard-working teams, we hereby congratulate these six awesome people! Riya Thakerar, Caroline Collins, Simon Lee, Alicia Jackson, Cara Sayer-Bourne and Tom Tse; you rock! Now of course there is only one Gnominator trophy, so sadly you can't all display him proudly at your desk, but be happy in the knowledge there is a little bit of gnome in all of you!

23.01.2022 Woo hoo its Hearts Proudly Presents time! Love this session. A member of each team talks the whole agency through a piece of work they've done that they're really happy with, and we all puff out our chests with pride! First up, we learned how the Covid-19 context made for a very different EOFY campaign for an auto client this year, but we delivered a highly visible and effective campaign for them while other competitors went dark. Sticking with said auto brand, we heard how ...through extensive analysis and a deep dive into the sedan category, we re-engineered the target audience for the Renaissance Connoisseur defined by addressable attitudes in media, enabling the i30 sedan to differentiate itself among competitors. With hayfever season sadly heading our way, next up was some great work on an allergy relief brand! Our newest client team went through their first fully integrated response covering creative production, through ideation and strategy through to media, comms approach and implementation. Their first full response to brief as a full service team, this was also their opportunity to introduce the client to new process and ways of thinking and approaches using econometrics, data points, being digitally led and fluid in the current media market. Last but not least, we heard from our activation team. Faced with increased competition for this spoken audio content brand, and mounting account management, they consolidated numerous similar SEM campaigns into one, and then implemented Auction Time Bidding to take our Google Ads to the next level of efficiency and maximise our return on investment. Congratulations and thank you to all our presenters, who did a fantastic job as always!

23.01.2022 How do we better understand customer journeys and experiences to stand out in the sea of sameness that is automotive advertising? That was just one of the themes discussed in our Spotlight on Hyundai event for media owners this week. Hearts’ Sydney MD Wendy Gower and CIO Luke Hutchinson were delighted to be joined by Hyundai marketing director Kevin Goult, creative agency Innocean Australia CEO Jasmin Bedir, and Hearts’ business director Gail Halbert.... Our panel captured the current state of the automotive industry, the impact of Covid-19, Hyundai’s product line up of 18 cars in 18 months, objectives for the 2021 and what Hyundai is looking for from media owners to help achieve their objectives. The session landed well with our media partners, many of whom loved that highly sought-after access to the client and the opportunity to hear Kevin and Jasmin directly explaining their priorities. We’ll be back soon with more great insights into more of our clients!

22.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Max & Partners is joining Hearts & Science. 20.01.2022 And just like that were up to Wave 8 of the Hearts Pulse! Looking at exercise trends, we can see this is down slightly on last month. We suspect covid-fatigue is to blame for this, with people struggling to find the motivation! Elsewhere, in some nice news for a Friday, concerns about finances have improved a little! Interestingly, all news media channels are also up slightly vs. the previous wave, so we can see the need and desire to keep up with ever-more developments cont...inues. Hearts Pulse is our regular dip into consumers minds throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The proprietary data shows our clients the patterns and trends forming among their customers, helping them steer their way through.

20.01.2022 Have COVID-19 and the lockdowns impacted your mental health? You're not alone. The book, which features honest stories from 22 industry leaders, aims to encourage people to speak up when they're not ok.... https://www.adnews.com.au//industry-leaders-share-their-lo

19.01.2022 We're excited to bring to life Hyundai Australia's Take a Load Off campaign with Pedestrian Group! As seen in AdNews Australia today, this fantastic campaign will see Hyundai share its advertising budget for the iLoad commercial van with three SMEs. The goal is to help small businesses get back to normal - but better when we eventually come out of the Covid-19 pandemic. https://www.adnews.com.au//hyundai-gives-away-advertising-

19.01.2022 Put your hands together please for our October Hearts Gnominator, investment manager Charisma Bhandari! Newly addicted Crossfit aficionado Charisma has worked tirelessly the past few months to ensure one client's brand launch was a success and, for another client, has been a total master at merry-go-round bookings! This has all been done to the highest standard and with zero complaints. Charisma displays real pride in her work and excellent team leadership. Great job!

19.01.2022 The winner of the Hearts Gnominator for August is our very own Wonder Woman, investment assistant Mia Fiegel! Mia has been doing a truly excellent job, particularly over the past few months. She has taken ownership of a client and delivered outstanding results for the most recent TV campaign, all with minimal supervision. She follows through all aspects of buying with precision, ranging from optimisation to pre and post tracking, as well as consistent, detailed client updates... all noted by the client themselves. Mia has earned herself more responsibility and will soon be tackling more campaigns, largely due to her recent efforts and results. Great job Mia, love your work!

19.01.2022 A big shout out to the May winner of the Hearts Gnominator, Ben Gibbs! Hard working and dedicated team player Big Ben has got stuck into strategy planning and is really taking a lead on future campaigns. He also goes above and beyond to service the client and ensure the smooth sailing and first-class delivery of projects. We like to recognise a job well done, and reward those who surpass our expectations on the daily. Part of this includes presenting one of our fantastic staff each month with this superhero trophy!

18.01.2022 A big round of applause please for our July Gnominator, Erin Diemar! Erin is the worthy winner for her outstanding work leading Team Josephine through the transition for new client Johnson & Johnson. She has led the way in developing processes and automated finance documents, keeps everyone 10 steps ahead with her incredible amount of background work, and still finds time to help the team through recommendations and training with a smile on her face Every. Single. Day.... Erin is encouraging, collaborative, dedicated, kind and positive and we salute her! We like to recognise a job well done, and reward those who surpass our expectations on the daily. Part of this includes presenting one of our fantastic staff each month with this most beautiful of trophies.

15.01.2022 Team Hearts had a ball (groan) at the annual UnLtd. Cup Goals for Good futsal tournament! The team put on a very respectable performance, winning 1 and drawing 1 of our 4 games - the trophy is ours next year! The tournament raised more than $55,000 for children at risk, which is incredible, so well done and thank you to everyone who got involved

15.01.2022 This time last week we had just signed off from our third annual Spotlight on Hearts & Science event. It was the first time we’d run it virtually (all hail to the tech gods) and our first national one, so we were excited! Over 300 media owner partners were on the call, joining us as we shone a light on our agency, how things have been going since we launched into market in April 2018, and our priorities for the year ahead. We focused on the following 3 pillars:... 1. Our relaunched proposition and new & improved product 2. The importance of our amazing team and creating a culture of winning with heart 3. Ramping up our commitment to work in a smarter, more agile way with our media partners in 2021 In the 18 months since Hearts launched in Australia we’ve made a lot of progress. We felt proud to share this with our media owner partners, so it’s been fantastic (and a relief!) to receive positive feedback like insightful, and refreshingly open and informative. We’ll be back soon hosting some deep dive Q&A sessions with a number of our clients over the coming weeks, so watch this space!

13.01.2022 With our amazing team starting to trickle back into the office this month, we left people a little something on their desks to say a big welcome back! Mulled wine sets to keep us warm and festive, hand sanitiser to keep us safe, and a little snacky snack to keep those bellies from rumbling (weve all had 24/7 access to the fridge for the past 3 months after all!). We missed you Hearts!

12.01.2022 Georgina Wall from our activations team is in AdNews Australia this week, talking you through how to gear your app advertising efforts to perform despite the impending iOS14 consent requirements: https://www.adnews.com.au//5-steps-to-future-proofing-app-

12.01.2022 Our (Not so) International Festivity of Creativity has been a blast and has got us all thinking a little differently! Big congratulations to Cara Sayer-Bourne and Heidi Saban, our Facebook Portal-winning champions of creativity - thank you for getting involved! Here's a little insight into their minds...... Write an advert encouraging people to apply for the position of being you. Cara: Seeking employee this winter to sit by heaters, occasionally go for long walks and cook elaborate meals. Job open to human or a reliable, dexterous hound. What's the closest thing to magic? Why? Cara: The transformation of the caterpillar to a butterfly. It literally turns itself into a soup, and then re-forms as a different living being. As someone who would not survive being soup, I am impressed. Heidi: Dreaming. The fact that we close our eyes each night and conjure up the wackiest, most extravagant settings and stories only to wake up and it all be whisked away like it never happened. 10.01.2022 2020 has been one hell of a year, and it can take its toll. Is there someone you've been meaning to check in on? Do it today. #RUOKDay

10.01.2022 Can you believe were up to Wave 7 of the Hearts Pulse! Focusing on the media, we can see TV viewing is up significantly; back to the highest point in April in fact. Given the recent spikes in new cases we think this will largely be due to people being glued to the news again. In other areas, there has - unsurprisingly - been a large downward shift in people using public transport and driving long distances.... Hearts Pulse is our regular dip into consumers minds throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The proprietary data shows our clients the patterns and trends forming among their customers, helping them steer their way through.

09.01.2022 Although 19 June, Juneteenth, may not be a historical day for Australia, we felt it was important to take the opportunity to reflect on the past and present challenges that we face globally and locally relating to racial discrimination. We were lucky enough to be part of an OMG-wide webinar with John Briggs, a Yorta man from Cummrugunja. John spoke to us in depth about reconciliation in Australia, and the historical events that led to inclusion. His words were a powerful, insightful, education.

09.01.2022 Hearts movie night is back! Great team get-together under the watchful eye of Matthew McConaughey (if only) and The Gentlemen. Cracking film and margaritas as big as your head, good stuff! Thanks Hoyts Australia for hosting us!

08.01.2022 A big round of applause if you please to the September winner of the Hearts Gnominator, our very own marvel Caroline Collins! Caroline has established really strong client relationships since she joined us at the start of the year, and is just going from strength to strength! On top of that, Caroline is always willing to help. She made a great contribution to a recent pitch, and presented beautifully despite having little time to prepare.... Nice job Caroline, keep up the amazing work!

08.01.2022 Along with some of our OMG sister companies we took part in STEPtember and Hearts smashed it! Not only did our account director Erin Diemar win Top Stepper, with a staggering 747,697 steps, but Erin’s team of fellow walkaholic Heartsters - the geniusly named Hot Step Time Machine - took the Top Team Overall! Congratulations to Erin, Ann-Claire Paton, Joe Robinson and Riya Thakerar! ... And a big thank you and well done to all our wonderful staff who took part in STEPtember and walked their little legs off; in just 28 days we raised a fantastic $2373.49 toward initiatives that will help people living with cerebral palsy. Great job team!

06.01.2022 This week the OpenPride ANZ committee hosted an event in celebration of the upcoming International Pronouns' Day across Omnicom Australia & New Zealand. Although a lesser known area of diversity, gender identity (how you identify, which could include but isn't limited to, female, male, non-binary or trans-gender) is an important part of our human experience and the event was a great opportunity to explore diverse expressions of gender and discuss how to be inclusive in day-t...o-day life. Thank you to our brilliant keynote speaker Mary Haddock-Staniland, who leads New Zealand’s National Body for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion, and our fantastic panel, who all had an awesome conversation about gender diversity and how to nurture a culture of inclusion. You can check out this very interesting and informative session here (content starts 2mins 30 secs in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDVg4WTimI8&feature=youtu.be

Thank you and here's to the next 17 years!

05.01.2022 Today we held a Covid-19 wellness panel, where 4 employees opened up about how the pandemic has changed their lives, the challenges theyve faced, and the mechanisms theyve found useful for coping. Heres our panels top 7 tips: 1. You cant control the situation but you can manage how you react to it... 2. Theres no right or wrong way to deal with this; do what feels right 3. Acknowledge how you feel and if you need help, ask 4. Spend the money to make your WFH space comfortable 5. Do what makes you feel good. Exercise, facetime, talk to your postie! 6. Establish a routine & document your days with little things to look forward to 7. Be kind to yourself. Do what needs to be done to get from one day to the next - drop any unnecessary pressures There was a really interesting spread of experiences, from being separated from partner & family, to a greater dependency on alcohol, to having huge life plans brutally disrupted. Nobody was expecting the 2020 we got, and everybody is just trying to muddle through in the best way for them. Thank you Mikayla Verbunt for hosting and to all our panellists, Erin Diemar, Benton Goodbrand, Priya Nijagal and Schalk Van Der Sandt, for being so open and candid!

04.01.2022 That awkward video call moment when you realise someone is talking to you from their bathroom!

03.01.2022 Wave 6 of the Hearts Pulse and have you noticed the roads getting busier? According to our latest survey, 1 in 5 Australians are more likely to drive on major roads now than compared to pre-Covid times! The data doesnt, however, point to this being due to public transport avoidance like it was previously. The ability to work remotely from anywhere is likely a factor, but also, more people simply want to take advantage of restrictions being lifted and are choosing to get out and enjoy new surroundings Hearts Pulse is our regular dip into consumers minds throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The proprietary data shows our clients the patterns and trends forming among their customers, helping them steer their way through.

02.01.2022 Do you know any media professionals who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19? Tell them about MFA Support! Hearts' managing director, Wendy Gower, and chief digital officer, Isabelle Dunn, are proud to be part of this great initiative by Media-Federation Australia, which aims to help retain valued talent in the industry by keeping people connected. If you're an ex-employee of an MFA member agency, you are eligible to join the program:... https://www.mediafederation.org.au/our-/mfa-support-program

02.01.2022 Very happy to see the latest IAB Australia Data Handbook go live today! 01.01.2022 And just like that we’re up to Wave 8 of the Hearts Pulse! Looking at exercise trends, we can see this is down slightly on last month. We suspect covid-fatigue is to blame for this, with people struggling to find the motivation! Elsewhere, in some nice news for a Friday, concerns about finances have improved a little! 01.01.2022 Hearts is taking part in Kindness Factory's World Kindness Day this Friday. To get the kindness juices flowing, we kicked off today with the gift of oxygen! Everyone in the office received a little baby succulent to call their own, with a request to name it and talk to him/her regularly! And, to encourage us all to spread the kindness and the love, we all got a (slightly random) postcard. These days we tend to connect with friends through social media likes, and the occasiona...l ‘ahh I miss you’ texts, but these quirky friendship maintenance cards give us all the opportunity to show our mates how much we love them, and say what we’ve been meaning to say. Who will you be kind to this Friday? Don’t forget to log good deeds done and received at kindnessfactory.com
