25.01.2022 A huge thank you goes out to Wendy Truelove and Red Dot Animal Programs for their incredible generosity in these donations that Wendy delivered to us from Sydney.
23.01.2022 Hi everyone! These itty bitty kitties were rescued just over a week ago from the pound. Barely 3 weeks old. The two little grey and white boys were smaller than their sisters and looked under nourished. Some kittens are good drinking from a bottle, these werent, so they had a hard time getting enough milk. They are eating some solid food here but were still learning to lap.Various problems arise under these conditions. The little boy with the winged heart above him passed a...way. He was the weakest eater. Its best for these tiny babies to stay with mum to 8 weeks of age if possible otherwise they are easily at risk of passing away. Hopefully, the three survivors will flourish and get good furever homes where they will be kept indoors, (be desexed ) and be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives. Cute as little buttons lol :D <3 William (r.i.p.) Winston, Catniss, Anastasia. (all grey). See more

19.01.2022 Another sad passing this week. Oscar, who was adopted 4 years ago. He went to live in Goulburn with a lovely couple who doted on him. He loved going for car rides, going to the grooming salon and would love to just be anywhere his mum and dad were. His loving ways and funny character will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Aged 12 years.

18.01.2022 Just received a lovely update from Hearts alumni, Thor, who was adopted in 2017. Hes doing really well and is very loved and spoiled. Thor was originally found wandering, emaciated and starving in an Oberon state forest in late 2016. He was so desperate for food and was really quite wild. But after a few weeks of training, feeding and TLC, Thor was ready to be adopted and start a new chapter in his life of being part of a loving family. Were so thrilled to see how loved he is and that hes so happy. Well done Thor

18.01.2022 A very sad morning. Poor sweet little Chen who is our longest living resident, at 20 years old, passed away peacefully in my arms this morning. Chen came to us 8 years ago along with his sister, Ming, when his human mum became extremely ill with cancer. She sadly passed away very soon after. Ming was adopted but poor Chen remained with us. He wasnt the most beautiful of pooches, but he had a really beautiful soul. In the last couple of years, he went blind and we had to hand feed him. Being a Chinese Crested, he really felt the cold, so he had to have jumpers on in colder weather and a shirt in summer so he wouldnt get sunburned. God love him, he loved his jumpers. Sadly he missed out on trying the new ones from Knitting for Australian dog rescue that arrived yesterday . Well miss you little buddy.
