11.01.2022 Getting to know our team! Meet Francine! Mother of 5, step mother of 2, Grandmother of 3 and happy wife of Wayne for 18 years. Member for 1.5 years. This lady is a fighter. After losing her first Husband, Harry to cancer 24 years ago, Francine quickly realised that mastering her health was essential in order to look after her 5 children.... She's passionate about living life to the fullest and at 50 she skied on the famous Vallee Blanche glacier in France - a risky venture which has taken the lives of many. Now 56 Francine feels there are still many more adventures to be had & goals to achieve as she sets her sights on building strength - in particular deadlifting 2 x her body weight. Working with our online nutrition coaching & strength training program she has remained committed to refining her healthy habits with the focus of building strength and lean muscle so she can finish what she started as soon as we re-open the gym. What a rock star! I'm sure you will all agree Francine is the ultimate example of what healthy ageing can look like when we have a strong desire to experience all that life has to offer. Thank you Francine for being such a shining example of health and vitality and inspiration for us all. Favourite exercise - Dumbbell bent over row single arm, I have always loved this. I also love most exercises using the fit ball. V pass so good! Least favourite Most definitely Burpees! Horrible things! Favourite healthy snack or food Fresh raspberries and strawberries that are at room temperature, I just love them! Yum. Success tip - Eating as many fresh fruit and vegetables as possible, cooking from scratch and not eating processed food if possible. 06.01.2022 Looking down the barrel of fifty and not fitting any of my clothes anymore I felt like my body was a runaway train that I no longer understood.
