25.01.2022 Weekly meal prep with my little helper.

24.01.2022 We have 2 vacancies in individual yards. Applicants must be: Respectful and responsible. This is a private property with young children. ... Polite and able to mind your own business. Bothering other agistees, borrowing their things without asking etc will result in me telling you to load your horse and go. Drama free. Possibly the most important element. Don’t cause us drama. Don’t cause other agistees drama. Agistment if for a yard, not for me to be at your beckon call. In return, you get to keep your horse at an agistment where it’s expected you will be treated with kindness, respect and not have to deal with other people’s drama. We don’t care how well you can ride or if you just want to lead your horse around and enjoy their company. So long as you pay on time, keep your yard clean, your horse fed, watered and cared for and abide by the rules above. 60x 20 fenced arena Large round yard Full set of show jumps Yards are 20m x 20m with shelter and automatic water $27.50 a week, per horse. Agistment to be paid 2 weeks in advance along with a $50 yard deposit that will be returned if you leave with a clean yard.

22.01.2022 When you’re taking the puppy.... I mean pony for a walk and he spots the neighbours cattle on the move.... I love where I live and what I get to do. How does life get better than this?

22.01.2022 Sam had his teeth done yesterday and was very tight in the jaw and heavy in my hands today.... so Equissage and lots of jaw release therapy was in order.

21.01.2022 We are a long way from perfect but it puts such a smile on my face to be back in the saddle.... even if it is blowing a gale!

20.01.2022 Seems solid to me!

18.01.2022 Winner picked tomorrow so don’t forget to comment if you’d like to win a tub to try!

18.01.2022 Holiday fun.... even Lachie likes helping with Sam.

17.01.2022 This popped up in my memories this morning. Happy 8th birthday Shadow.

12.01.2022 Looking for a horse for a friend. Around the 15hh mark. Quiet, easy to do everything with. Suitable for pony club, a bit of showing and trail riding. No projects please.

11.01.2022 Check out this new page for the Adelaide Hills. I’ve known Carla since I was a little girl and have always admired her ability and character. Check her and Craig out if you’re looking for a coach!! https://www.facebook.com/adelaidehillsequestrian/

10.01.2022 When your horse is a mud pig and you have an enormous puddle in your driveway.... Samuel, you put the biggest smile on my face. He tried to roll coming back the other way

10.01.2022 ...... asking for a friend.....

08.01.2022 The colours of home.... So many changes over the last few years, some of the biggest within me and how I see myself. I feel like I’m coming back as a stronger, more mature horse woman, wife, mother, friend and all that Jazz. Some times a forced break is exactly what we need to shake off the shackles of other people’s opinions, expectations and judgements. I made an announcement some time ago that something new was coming to Heartwood.... I’ve still got a few months left of 2020 and I’m going to see if I can still make it happen this year!!!!

07.01.2022 Like little trophies sitting in the paddock.... with so much regrowth you could almost cut it again. Well you could cut it again but with over three years worth of hay, we can just let them graze this now

07.01.2022 3 individual yards now available with shelter, water and electric fencing. 60 x 20 meter dressage arena Show jumping paddock Huge post and rail round yard.... Plenty of space to ride on the 100 acre property or off down the roads. Privately owned family property only 10 minutes from the centre of Murray Bridge. Agistees need to be respectful and polite. We don’t care if you’re an Olympic rider or someone who just likes to brush your pony and take it for a walk. So long as you can get along with everyone and take care of your horse, you’ll find Heartwood a wonderful, family friendly environment. $27.50 per horse per week plus a $50 yard deposit that you get back if you move and leave your yard clean.

07.01.2022 Grace took a video of me working Sam but in truth she was videoing everything else with her finger half covering the lens and this is the only part I could salvage.... she was discussing the cycle of life and I did enjoy her little poem Flowers blooming in the grass oh my.... Horses growing older and not changing their size...... The kid is deep and adds endless entertainment (distraction) while I’m working

07.01.2022 Got to love getting home and Daish Irrigation & Fodder have delivered a new gate and my feed order right outside my feed shed door! What’s your can’t do without feed or supplement you’ve always got in the feed shed?

07.01.2022 This year we put a paddock in to crop purely with the intention of grazing it..... we didn’t spray or fertilise, just ran the rest of the seed out in an empty paddock. safe to say the girls can’t keep up! Nothing better for the soul than a lunch time walk with views like this

06.01.2022 Looking forward to having some nice weather over the coming couple of months so we can complete some planned facility renovations before opening up a batch of vacancies we’ve been holding. So if you’re looking for agistment in Murray Bridge, watch this space :) Up to 8 positions coming up!

06.01.2022 It’s been quite a long time since I’ve felt up to working a horse after a full day at the office but today I couldn’t help myself. Tully has been rather full of herself of late and needed a reality check. First photo is a perfect example of the attitude she’s been giving me and the second photo is how we ended. No punishment is needed, just consistent expectations and corrections....

05.01.2022 Please make sure you’re depositing into your confidence account and stop Making unnecessary withdrawals

04.01.2022 Just gonna leave this here....

03.01.2022 The girls.... when you need a paddock mowed and the weather isn’t machinery friendly.... call in the land whales!

03.01.2022 yes, exactly this!!!

02.01.2022 When you tell your daughter not to let her pony eat the grass while she’s taking him for a walk and then find her sitting on his hay singing to him, pulling all the grass out his hay and throwing it away.... except it’s meadow hay and she isn’t old enough to tell the difference. Gotta love her

01.01.2022 I’m not sure where the rain went but a storm certainly looked like it was brewing this morning!

01.01.2022 I don’t normally share posts like this but Alison is a very dear friend of mine and cherished client of Heartwood. If anyone can spare a few dollars to help out a worthy cause, it would be greatly appreciated x

01.01.2022 Who doesn’t love bargain hunting???
