25.01.2022 The incredible imagery has been put together by Grayson Cook using data that comes off the Himawari weather satellite, run by the Japan Meteorological Agency (w...here BOM get our weather data). Grayson looked at the water vapour data recorded by the satellite (geostationary orbit, 35,786km above the Earth), and had this to say: "we are all one organism under the giant swirling mass of water that makes our planet liveable." The video is here:

20.01.2022 not 'country' but people and so relevant to us all

19.01.2022 We have decided to postpone the Canberra events - Massacre Yarning and Deep Talks. We wish to avoid the risk of infection especially for treasured Elders and the possibility of carrying the virus back into remote communities. We will reignite the spirit of these events possibly in September. Stay well! and watch this space, Iris

07.01.2022 Gas is as bad as coal, and these fossil fuels wreck our climate. But last week, the Treasurer pledged to open up five new gas basins that will push up pollution, trash our land and pollute our water. Together, we need to beat gas.

07.01.2022 Importance of Arts - more now than ever

07.01.2022 Deep grief over the on-going injustice suffered by the original people of this continent. If this 19 year-old had been white, would the police officer have shot him three times? Would the officer have been released on bail? Would it have been possible to remove the severely injured 19 year-old without medical assistance, lock down the police station with the lethally wounded, dying or already deceased 19 year-old inside - without medical attention!- and refuse his family access to check on his welbeing? Will the court hand down a just sentence and convict the officer of murder or manslaughter? Or do you think its possible that the officer will walk? What would you ask for if this 19 year-old was YOUR son?

01.01.2022 Slightly different angle! Dear ServiceSpace Community, Coronavirus has uprooted the fabric of our lives. How does a heart of service respond to an unknown cause, how do we build resilience when we can't be physically together, and how do we amplify lotus in the mud? With the backdrop of 20 years of holding such inquiries, ServiceSpace volunteers globally have sprung to action. As one response, we've just launched: karunavirus.org Karuna is a Sanskrit word for compassion, an...Continue reading
