15.01.2022 CORE STABILITY: Core stability is important in human movement as the core helps in stabilising the human body to maintain posture, balance and prevent the risk of injuries. The core consists of the Diaphragm, Pelvic floor, Transverse abdominus and the multifidus muscles. Without core stability, we would be more susceptible to spinal injuries such as facet joint dysfunction, Spondylolithesis etc.

A lot of people seem to misunderstand this concept as most people do not want to "look bulky". In fact, weight training has many benefits such as: - increases metabolism - increases bone mineral density... - prevents muscle atrophy - makes you fitter and stronger - aids in the prevention and management of chronic disease. The best weight training exercises that have a massive impact on the body are: - Back or Front squats - Deadlifts - Bent over rows - Military press As these exercises are full body movements they will target all of the large muscle groups of the body. 06.01.2022 UNILATERAL TRAINING: Unilateral training is one of the most common methods used in training to help with asymmetries in the body and also in rehabilitation. In fact, when you have a broken arm or leg, training the opposite side (uninjured side) will help restore some of the strength to the injured side, this is called Cross Education. 06.01.2022 On the weekend i set myself a little bit of a challenge that will help increase the mindset. Climbing Mt Ninderry barefoot. Why?? This helps to help strengthen the feet and promote different neural pathways on how the body should move and to also build a whole new mindset. Walking barefoot helps to reduce body pains and can assist in postural alignment.

DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING: Diaphragmatic breathing is one of the most important and relaxation technique used in training and exercise as this helps you: - relax after an intense training session by lowering blood pressure.... -reduces the levels of cortisol in the body, improves oxygen flow delivery to the brain. - improves the efficiency of the movement of the diaphragm. - ensures correct breathing patterning during exercise. - lowers heart rate. - Will assist in the management of some conditions and illnesses.
