25.01.2022 Message from Gold Coast Basketball. Hi All, As per trial last night all went well. We need to follow the covid plan for Friday night (as per the attachment in last post)... It is important that we stick to the plan as following: Adhere to the directions of GC sand Council staff at all times QR Scan in prior to ascending the stairs so people are not holding up the line Social distancing while lining up to enter Exiting the building as soon as games are finished. No sitting on team benches post-game, no team talks on the court post-game, there are too many teams too slow to exit the stadium Pay attention to the exit points for spectators It will only take one person to do the wrong thing for us to revert back to our no spectator policy so please do the right thing and follow the procedures

22.01.2022 URGENT NOTICE From gold coast basketball Council has just informed me that there will be a full shutdown of traffic in the Metricon/GCSLC are once people leave the AFL game tonight. They expect that to be from 905-945.... Can you please notify your teams that are playing at 8pm, that they need to be there at 845pm so they can get their child out before they shut down. Likewise, 9pm games, must arrive early and drop off their children to avoid not having access. I have been told they might start the lockdown earlier if the crowd leaves earlier... (I know)... we just have to be patient as this is a once off event. We only just received this information everyone

As the number of confirmed COVID-19 ca...ses rises in Queensland, we believe the decision to temporarily suspend all fixtures and events is an appropriate measure to ensure the safety of our members. As an organisation, we believe the health and well being of our participants and members comes first. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly, and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience during this difficult time. 16.01.2022 Happy new year to all The current plan is to run Heat trials on Saturday the 30th Jan and Saturday the 6th Feb, this is depending on court availability for those dates of which we can confirm with Hillcrest closer to the 20th Jan. The confirmation of those dates and the time slots for age groups will be posted then. Registration for Heat is to open soon.

08.01.2022 Our winter season is back up and running!!! Friday July 17 we will recommence round 3 of grading. No summer comp this year, winter season will go straight through till the end of November. We are currently looking to return to training that week. More info to follow. We have had some players withdraw from the season so we have had to make a few changes to teams. We will let the specific teams know ASAP.
