13.01.2022 Heathcote Health COVID-19 Vaccination Heathcote Health Life Governor and Aged Care resident, Frank, along with Heathcote Health Aged Care Nurse Unit Manager, Sam Harvey, received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine today. "I'm doing my part to protect the people I live with, the staff who work here and the community," Frank said. A large number of our most vulnerable; residents and healthcare worker staff - have received the vaccination or are scheduled to receive it so...on. Frank and Sam are part of a group of 4000 people identified in priority group Phase1a in the Loddon Mallee region As a vaccination hub, Bendigo Health’s role is to safely and efficiently coordinate administration of the COVID-19 vaccine across the Loddon Mallee region. So far, Bendigo Health has vaccinated around 2000 people about half of the 4000 identified in phase 1a. Most of the general community can expect to get their first jab in the middle of the year, the type of vaccine is determined by supply. To stop the spread and protect others, we all need to continue to: o Practise good hygiene o Practise physical distancing o Follow the limits for public gatherings
