10.01.2022 Great day and sad day After weeks of organising we have been able to start the fixing of the front of the lodge walls, starting to look great by one of the local builders and new member of the lodge Sad news is that on the weekend some has deliberately smashed in one of the windows in the lodge, these windows are over 100 years old, police were contacted and they have found cctv and currently reviewing it to check number plates during the night

09.01.2022 HEATHCOTE MASONIC LODGE, NO. 843 E.C. 18 Jul 1884 Monday last, the 14th inst., being the 24th anniversary of the foundation of this Lodge, was celebrated in the usual manner by the Installation and Investment of the W. .M. and his officers for the ensuing year.... The Lodge having been opened by the retiring W. M. Bro, J. G. McKee,Bro. James Kemp, the W. M. elect, was duly installed and placed in the chair of K.S. by Bro. McKee, ably assisted by Bros. S. Grant, A. and J.Bogg, J. Christie and H.T. James, of the Heathcote Lodge, and Bros. T. H. Lempriere, V.W.D.G S., Gadd and Hinchcliffe, of the Golden and Corinthian Lodge of Bendigo, and P. M. Knight, of the Zenith Lodge of Kyneton. bro. KImp having returned thanks for the honor conferred upon him, the following nllicors wore installed and invested bylBro, Knight, P.M., and the various charges well delivered by P.M.Bro. IHinoholife ; Bro. John Bogg,S.W. ; 1ro. James Christie, J.W.; bro. Henry Palling, Treasurer; Bro.H. T. James, Secretary ; Bro. Bruce Greig, Organist; Bro. M'Malhon, Tyler. Owing to the unavoidable absence of several Brethren, the Installation of S.D., J D., and J.G. was postponed until next meeting. After the ceremony a banquet was held in the Lodge room, to which some 80 to 40 of the Brethren of tile " mystiotie" sat down to enjoy the pleasures ofthe. festive board, ably and liberally catered for by Bro. Debney, who, upon this occasion, surpassed all former efforts, and seem determined that, in his department at least, nothing should be found wanting. Tile usual loyal and Masonic toasts having been duly proposed and honored, many songs wore sung and healths drink, followed by those observances peculiar to the Royal Craft. A notable and most welcome adjunct to the harmony and enjoyment of the evening was the presence of a number of the members of the choirs of the Golden m& Coriuthlian'and Zenith Lodges, whose assistance gave zest and double impressiveness to the various responses and other portions of the formula, as well as adding to the pleasure of the occasion by a number of songs, glees, So., rendered in a masterly style by Bros. f-inohclifle, Pellet, Riippen,Warren, and Groig, worthily accompanied on the organ by Bro, Monoghan, whose services were evidently rendered con amoro. Altogether a most enjoyable evening was spent, and the Freemasons of Heathcote can in the future look back upon the Installation of 1884 with pleasure, and mark the date with " a white stone." It is pleasing to be able to add that the Brethren separated at a reasonable hour, and without the slightest violation of the Masonio principles of prudence and temperance, a fact which I would draw the attention of those to who, necessarily ignorant of its true meaning and intention, can see nothing in Freemasonry but an excuse for conviviality, and for, unbecoming' https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/90145237
