25.01.2022 We're getting close to Christmas, which means that we will be extra busy with parcels! We would like to ask that where possible you could collect your parcels as soon as you can to help us with our limited parcels space. We do understand that you cannot always come on the same day but we do appreciate the room it frees up. If you can't get in during the week don't forget we are also open until 1pm on Saturdays. We also recommend posting all letters and standard parcels withi...n Australia by Friday the 11th of December and all express parcels by Friday the 18th to ensure timely delivery before Christmas. As always it's better to be early, especially this year! Still need to buy Christmas presents? We have a vast range of gifts, wrapping paper, cards and gift cards to cover anything that you still need to get as well as gift bags and boxes for sending your gifts through the post.

25.01.2022 Don't know what to get for Father's Day? Why not get an ever popular Australia Post Mastercard Gift Card or an Ultimate For Him Gift Card which includes BCF, Supercheap Auto and BBQ Galore stores among others!

25.01.2022 Father's Day is fast approaching, coming up a week from this Sunday! To ensure the fatherly figures in your life receive their gifts on time, it is recommended that you post as soon as possible; preferably by tomorrow Friday 28th. If you leave it to Monday, Express Post is recommended. This is due to Australia Post's large increase in parcels within Victoria, further compounded by government regulations forcing Australia Post to reduce staffing levels.... Please allow parcels to take an extra 3-5 business days to reach its destination before contacting customer service on 13 13 18. Thankyou for your support and understanding during these tough times.

24.01.2022 Important Safety Message! The health of our customers, their families and our employees are our biggest priority consequently Heathcote Post Office & Newsagency is being vigilant in our response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. If you have developed symptoms related to the Coronavirus or have been in contact with someone who has, DO NOT ENTER the Post Office or other local businesses and contact; ... 1800 675 398 Even if you are not displaying any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has, we ask if you could please practice the following: Please refrain from coughing and sneezing where possible and if it happens if you could cover your mouth or nose. Demonstrate appropriate hygiene practices including frequent washing of hands and refrain from touching other people where possible. We have hand gel within arms reach if anyone would like it. Please come prepared, complete your tasks quickly and refrain from extended time in the shop as prolonged exposure can increase the risk of transmission. Shortening your time spent in the shop will also help us to keep the queue length down, further reducing the risk of transmission. DO NOT lean over the counter and please keep a minimum distance of 1M at all times between staff and other customers. You may need or want to use our services and we understand the communal aspect of the shop, but if we become sick then we wont be able to service our lovely customers. There are many elderly people in town who are especially vulnerable to the virus and often these are the people who rely on us for financial and bill payment services and if we contract the disease then the impact on them could be two-fold. These guidelines will help protect the entire community, not just our staff and customers. Australia Post's update can be found here: https://auspost.com.au//news/important-updates/coronavirus

13.01.2022 Australia Post COVID-19 Update ! The Heathcote Post Office & Newsagency will remain OPEN as does the rest of the Australia Post Network as we are considered an Essential Service. You may have seen that we have marked out strips on the floor at 1.5M intervals to indicate where you should stand in the queue to reduce the risk of transmission. ... We will also still be accepting Cash Payments although we strongly recommend that you try to limit the use of cash as much as possible. Many other businesses will not be accepting cash so we recommend adapting to other payment methods like EFTPOS. Depending on the bank, you can deposit up to $10k at our Post Office so that you can start using your card for all your transactions going forward. Contactless Payment Methods such as a Credit/Debit Card or a Smart Device like a Phone are the most preferred methods of payment. To further reduce to risk of transmission we ask that you please modify your behaviours to the benefit of the community by: - Not leaning across counters. - Couples or Family's picking one person only to enter the shop while the rest wait elsewhere. - Ensuring you have everything you need, are prepared before you come in and complete your tasks quickly. This may include completing multiple tasks in one visits rather than over the course of several visits. - Not entering if you are displaying any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is. https://www.auspost.com.au///important-updates/coronavirus

11.01.2022 In line with last years customer-friendly changes to Domestic Parcel Prices, Australia Post are updating their International Parcel Pricing to become more competitive, beginning March 30th. International Parcels below 2kg are reducing in price on weighted average, mostly due to a new weight bracket of 0 - 250gm which will now be $3 cheaper than the previous 0 - 500gm (now 251 - 500gm) bracket. Australia Post have also made pricing simpler for all international parcels. Whil...e Economy Air (Untracked) will still need to be calculated based on Weight and Destination, the upgrades are now simpler and easier to remember. Regardless of weight or destination, the upgrade to Standard will be $5 and Express a further $15. Unless you need to send parcels with the cheapest possible postage, we recommend the upgrade to Standard as it is quicker, includes tracking and has insurance included up to $100 by default. Express has more additional perks such as Signature on Delivery and free SMS Notifications included in addition to the fastest possible postage. To counter the loss in revenue in the lower weights, parcels above 2kg will increase in price resulting in a net-neutral revenue change for Australia Post. This will further emphasis the impact weight has on International Postage Prices and we recommend making sure that your parcel is as light as possible before sending. More details on the upcoming price changes are available at https://auspost.com.au//check-postage-costs/pricing-updates

09.01.2022 Parcel Tracking Requests While the parcel situation is improving as Australia Post adapts to the large increase in parcel volume, there are still some delays with parcels and we are having constant requests from customers to try and find their parcel for them either in person or over the phone. We have had many occasions where the update messages via email and text are being sent through very late so many customers are left confused as to if they actually have a parcel at the... Post Office. You can save yourself and us a lot of time by tracking the article yourself or waiting for the parcel card. The quickest and most effective way to track your parcels is to download the Australia Post Tracking App which allows you to easily; - Track your parcels in one location - Get estimated delivery dates and update notifications without Email/SMS delays - Add nicknames to each item for easy identification - Access help and support enquiries Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/australia-post/id380897313 Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details If you you'd prefer to use the web version to track parcels, you can at https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search The sender should always send you your tracking number, if not it is best if you request it off of them.

09.01.2022 Australia Post Updates: 1. We will be closed tomorrow the 25th of April for ANZAC Day. 2. Priority Mail is being slowly suspended, right now we still accept it but we cannot sell it to you at this stage. Express Post will still be available for those needing the quicker delivery.... 3. Australia Post's Everyday Mastercard Product will be improved in the coming weeks and months, with the minimum in-store deposit reducing to $20 and Google, Samsung and Apple Pay support being introduced. 4. There are still delays in the network, so if you are sending things for Mothers Day it is recommended you send it ASAP. 5. Australia Post has been in the news frequently lately, some of it has been purely speculation and some of it is legitimate. There have been no changes to the number of days the mail will be delivered in Heathcote and it won't change in the foreseeable future. The changes are more so for metropolitan areas

09.01.2022 Weve got a brand new collection available of Tanya K Art as shown in the current catalogue. There are Mugs, Drink Bottles, Hand Cremes, Baths Salts and Shopping Bags among others!

08.01.2022 Heathcote Post Office and Newsagency COVID Update - August. While we appreciate everyone adhering to the latest Government restrictions, there are still ways we can improve how we interact during this pandemic. We are asking all our customers if they could please, where possible, adhere to the following; ... - Please select one person only to enter the shop per group or household unless extra care or supervision of a dependant person is required. - Please do not come into the store just to see if you might have a parcel. Please check via tracking or a parcel collection card. - Please fill out letters, parcels & forms before entering the shop. If you must fill them out in-store, please bring your own pen. - Please do not lick your fingers to get cash out or to seal an envelope. We can provide tape to seal any envelopes. Lastly, with restrictions tightening we are expecting greater parcel volumes which will likely result in some parcel delays. Please allow an extra few business days for mail to reach it's destination. If your parcel has not arrived more than a week after it's expected date, ring customer service on 13 13 18. We appreciate your support during these difficult times.

08.01.2022 Post Office Updates 1. As seen in the picture, we have our screens up and installed on the counter and we are asking customer to place their Parcel Cards face down in the White Tub after showing their details, this will help remove more points of contact 2. Right now Australia Post are having large delivery delays, compounded by lack of flights, increased volume and restrictions for the number of workers allowed in the sorting facilities at one time. A lot more mail is having... to be sent by sea for international mail but domestic has a backlog of parcels also. The parcels and letters will eventually arrive but prepare for the likelihood it won't arrive when it would normally be expected to. 3. In addition, many articles have not been receiving their usual scanning events. All mail leaves Heathcote everyday Monday to Friday, so even if Heathcote is the only scanned event, please be assured it is in the Australia Post delivery network. 4. Express Post is still available, but the guarantee for next day delivery has been removed, so refunds and replacements are no longer available for delayed items 5. We recommend sending gifts due for Mother's Day by Friday the 24th to give it the best chance of arriving on time 6. We will be closed this Saturday the 25th for ANZAC Day More updates available at https://auspost.com.au//news/important-updates/coronavirus

04.01.2022 We are expecting more parcel and letter delays as restrictions are tightening again in Victoria. While Victorians will rely more on parcel delivery for a larger portion of their wants and needs, Government restrictions will be impacting Australia Post's ability to meet these demands. Delivery and Parcel Sorting Centres will have to comply with a workforce reduction among other requirements to help combat COVID. In addition, Qantas has had to temporarily pause their operations in Melbourne freight terminals which will also have an impact on mail coming into and out of Victoria. Please be patient if your parcels or letters don't arrive as quickly as they normally do and allow a few extra business days before requesting more information from the Customer Contact Centre.
