09.01.2022 I've had a few queries about the name change to my page and should explain that for the past couple of years I have been working on the development of a monthly business, lifestyle and wellbeing magazine focused on the Heathcote region. While the magazine's target audience is the regional community, it is intended to serve the additional purposes of promoting the socioeconomic development and growth of the region and particularly Heathcote as its centre. For this reason the m...agazine will be distributed both within and outside the region to a wide range of businesses and tourism information providers, with the copies available free of charge to encourage as many people as possible to pick up the magazine and read it. Provided the advertising support exists to do this - and due to my comparative lack of overheads my advertising rates are VERY attractive - the magazine is currently scheduled to launch in Spring under the title 'Heathcote Review' - hence the change of the page's name to reflect my new direction. For those who weren't aware, in addition to being a journalist, I also hold degrees in psychology and human nutrition, being a registered nutritionist, and so the lifestyle and wellbeing issues impacting the Heathcote community are important focuses of Heathcote Review - the experience of actually living in this community, the needs of those who live and work here, the wonderful stories behind the people and businesses. If it doesn't work so be it, but I'll regret it if I don't try! :) See more
04.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone! For those interested in nature/wildlife photography, you might like to check out some of my brother's gorgeous photos. He's off to Japan and Korea in January for the Winter Olympics - so expect some stunning photos! We can blame Dad for this - I got his literary gene, but Marc got his shutter bug!!
