The last few days, it’s been absolutely devastating seeing the way these fires have ripped through parts of Australia, people’s homes, animals homes, ...some of the pics are so so sad. I’ve been trying to think I’ve what I could do to help in a little way for my 2 favoured charity’s, the Australian Red Cross and WIRES. So here is what I’ve done. I have put my 2017 Race Helmet up for sale, I get two helmets a year. 1 goes to Roger Penske and 1 I keep for myself every year. My 2018 Championship one is not with me anymore as that was prior arrangement I had for many years to the person who now has that. My 2019 Helmet is now with my dad in New Zealand as I promised him I would give him my first Bathurst winning helmet. So it leaves me with the 2017 Helmet. The amount this gets sold for I will personally match it with a donation myself. All the money will be split right down the middle and will be given evenly to these 2 charitys. Please share this post, bid as much as you can. It will be for sale for 7 days and I will announce the final amount then! 17.01.2022 Fascinating... Similar sensation in CRC Latimer Lodge (albeit a lot slower). Its quite busy, especially approaching 130mph-140mph & then things settle down a little as you go past 150mph-160mph. We also steer in an arc rather than a dead straight line but thats as a result of the hull design. GP Hydros are like Sprintcars, they are designed to turn left...

08.01.2022 This is what 482mph looks like at Bonneville... Turbinator II : Fastest wheel driven car over a single run. If they back that up with a second run tomorrow itll be a new record. How good would it be to be in the drivers seat for a run like that - bucket list item for sure

07.01.2022 Couldnt have said it better myself. Take the technical influence away from computer boffins with all their aero innovations & energy recovery systems and give it back to the bravest drivers... Then we might be able to watch some real motor racing for a change
