24.01.2022 A few pics from behind the scenes of @seventimesshortfilm Table Read yesterday. A story inspired by true events, the film addresses domestic abuse and the struggle to leave. The film is being bought to life through a collective effort of producers, actors and crew. I am excited to be part of the project because the more we tell complex, confronting stories through the medium of performance, the more discussion we create; not to mention hopefully providing a spark of belief to... those facing unimaginable daily circumstances at this time, or any time. A funding campaign is setup from as little as $5, $10, $20 or more which will go towards the film’s production with shooting due to start in a couple of weeks. 21.01.2022 I have just returned from a long weekend away amongst the serenity of Moreton Island. I love this pic of the golden light and its perspective on my face, which I hastily snapped and happened to find on my camera roll today. There have been many times I have needed light to find my way along a mental burrow of stress and despair. ... But the truth is that the light is always there and, for me, the more I seek it, the more it finds me. Much of the light I need to see appears when I stop and give time to the reasons for my malaise or sadness. It’s like my mind needs to release some kind of lesson or values-based learning and once I have grasped it, the light comes stronger than before. These days I can do this emotional connection ritual instantly as a form of flow, a bit like healing on the go. None of the issues or painful memories from my past scare me, and I live comfortably with the knowledge my light and dark brings. This trek of belief is the most important ritual of my life, it is in these moments of feeling we learn more than any book, theory or exam. 18.01.2022 It’s a Happy Wednesday from me to you Taking extra time before committing to bold action: the lesson of boundaries in 2020. I consciously rise, rest and live in a zone of mental health is number one. This allows me to make choices with belief built around the needs of health, not a mode of sacrificing health, and as a bonus I get to remain honestly aligned to my values. ... The world moves in ways to help us, even when we might have to fight what we think is right, by allowing space for what we emotionally realise is essential. As a business owner, this year has been a big pause and the temptation is to throw yourself at it with all you’ve got. Even without the nine months of Covid, I already knew this would be a false economy because I understand change; and it’s a big washing machine of turbulence that takes a measured judgement to put your head above the parapet with action. I actively had to fight against the entrepreneurial pressure to ‘create’ and instead found myself walling up with an absolute call to action: Boundary. This led me to The Interrupt Series, an online event all about how to interrupt stress for life. A idea that formed through watching and feeling my way through that first phase of life as we know it changing forever. It was a huge success: and I didn’t have to kill myself to make it happen. This taught me about belief in instinct and I have since taken fewer steps to act , but achieve increased results and outcomes as a result. 2020 has been this positive for me: it’s forced even harder boundaries for what it means to develop, connect, engage and do a dream. I think it’s become much more real, and slower pace adds up to better, sustainable results. When I was a much younger Editor they they used to call me Hell-for-leather-Heather. I still see myself as high octane, but it’s through passion and alignment now. The future is here; it’s not a drill. The problems in our world will change when we realise our own power to redeem life, and align to values, hope and love. There is no greater resilience or reward; it takes huge commitment to live and act in this way. Truth comes from letting go.



18.01.2022 Mental agility is essential to step seamlessly from one scenario to the next, with the awareness that these circumstances differ not by single degrees but whole experiential degrees of effort. I am continually disappointed that the misuse of the word ‘agility’ is narrowly derived with an underlying call for facts, systems, process and evidence-base, when these are the very things we not only lack but are continually thwarted by paradigm dimensional change on repeat. Values a...nd trust differentiate all people and help us to create mental clarity amidst uncertainty. It is not hard to make this intellectual leap, but until it’s emotionally absorbed then the Groundhog Day of headless chickens continues. 15.01.2022 I choose to create positive belief. This is a choice I make inside of my mind and listening to my emotional needs. Choosing positive is lots of simple steps taken every day, including movement, eating, resting and being outside. ... I recognise deep emotions and let them play put without feeling like they are wrong. I interrupt any stress that doesn’t serve these beliefs and choices. This takes strength because it’s a personal journey. I am not elevated into positivity as a feeling all the time. There is no keep going. There is no intellectual relief. Positivity comes from both sides of ab emotional pendulum and realising frailty in a noisy world. Just be. Be more you. Take more time. Slow it down. Enjoy the solitude and find peace from within. #light

15.01.2022 Who doesn’t love strawberries and chocolate? Personally it’s one of my favourite combos. These easy muffins are gluten free and delish.... I LOVE the 70% @absolute_organic dark chocolate chips and always have them on hand. These are what make this muffin extra special, use higher cocoa content chips if you can. Eating is about a mindset for choice and freedom. More often than not I encounter people with fear of food and food overwhelm because of an overload too many rules. Unlearning this is need for too much information key to core wellness. It starts with taking a step into eating for more than just food on a plate. There are no set rules other than to train your mind for choices that allow you to be with yourself and with others without feeling isolated or shameful about what you eat. These muffins are my wellness on a plate to share with you today...just because!!! It was fun to make them, to buy the ingredients and to eat them. Cooking time is 15-20 minutes depending on oven - check after 15 mins to ensure they are not burning. When I make things for the first time I like to know macros, particularly for muffins where I want them to sit around 200c. 02.01.2022 I choose to quieten my mind for inner strength and resilience. This a choice for my emotional wellbeing and I consciously remove myself from situations where there is too much mental noise and discord. When we set out to be a warrior of x/y/z (eg fitness, wellness, mindset, spirituality) there is a lot of noise in the form of books, podcasts, influencers and conversations in real life. ... An unfortunate downside to this still new industry development is the shoutiness of it all. I find some content and situations too loud and hyper competitive, not a good place for my mental health and wellness. Sure this creates anxiety to an extent, but bottom line is that I find myself walking away or shutting off social media as a major interrupt. It’s too easy to feel comparison issues and engage in negative self-talk. One of the great blessings of strong core wellness is the enjoyment of solitude and silence without apology. It’s a respite that is not only healthy but is true resilience and an edge for healing yourself. Being able to see the good from the bad and being able to breathe calmly against incessant pressure is part of your work to improve wellness. As I write this post I think a word here is ‘soften’. You can be a badass in the gym or in the limelight, but your strength comes from the ability to do something positive with nothing. Take care out there to just be. Be with you, with yourself and think of precisely nothing for better gains. Remove the noise and switch it off. Face out and be open to air, light, green space and water for positive mental elevation and keep pushing for that sanctuary, away from the constant drone of noise in this world.
