22.01.2022 Netballers 2020: The SFNL Preseason Cup is a new initiative of the SFNL. These three weeks of rounds replace the usual grading rounds and the results will be used in grading the teams for the season. Yep, all players are expected to be available for these rounds to ensure our teams are well represented to support division grading. Once teams are finalised, coaches will advise game times. 22.01.2022 The following communication has been sent this morning to all our netball players. We sincerely thank you for your patience and support during this time and now look forward to planning a bigger and better 2021 netball season. Dear Netball Members, I am writing to inform you that in light of the current and ever changing Covid-19 situation and with the health and wellbeing of our players, coaches and supporters at the heart of our decision, the Heatherton Football Netball C...lub has decided that the Netball division will not participate in the 2020 SFNL netball competition. This decision has not been made lightly. As a club, we have fielded netball teams since the competitions inception. we have players who took to the court in that very first round, continuing to represent the club today. The success on court speaks for itself, with Premiership success every year. To say we are disappointed is an understatement as we had prepared to continue the success of 2019 where we had secured an incredible 3 premiership wins. Following numerous discussions with committee, coaches and players, the vast majority of those consulted agreed that a withdrawal from Netball for the 2020 season was in the best interest of our players, coaches and volunteers health and well-being. Our players consist of health care workers, mums, teachers, VCE students and players in elite pathways that cannot risk further disruption. we simply cannot put our players on court each week with 100% confidence that their safety is assured. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal players, coaches and and supporters, for your continued support. While we know this decision is disappointing, it is made with the full care and concern for our playing group, our duty of care far exceeds the pressure to play. So now, we plan for a mighty return to Netball and we sincerely hope to see our full playing and coaching group return to us as we relaunch in 2021. Kelly Horton Netball Operations And Div 1 coach

15.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the current situation the football praccy match this Sunday is cancelled. We will train as normal next Tuesday and Thursday but if anyone feels unwell or has been in a high level risk area to contact a medical professional for best advice and please stay away from the club and communicate your situation to your relevant coach! Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns!

14.01.2022 2021 SFNL Netball Season - April - August 2021 Now that we are all inspired by the Vixens sensational win on Sunday, planning is underway for our 2021 Netball season and we would love an indication of who is returning. Given the extended break we have all experienced, we intend to offer screening days for all players likely to occur in Feb 2021 together with an exciting Pre-Season training schedule to ensure a safe return to netball. We invite all players to indicate your interest in a safe and very welcomed return to Netty in 2021

08.01.2022 2021 Netball Thrilled to announce div 1 returning player Kate Kelly-Oman will be returning in 2021 to lead our Div 1 team as Player/Coach. Kate brings a wealth of experience from local representative, state teams from 12’s to 19s with a few captaincys inbetween. Aus underage captain, silver medalist- Kuala Lumpur!
