04.01.2022 MACHINERY OPERATOR/ FARM HAND POSITION Heathfield Pastoral Company is a progressive family owned and operated mixed farming business with properties in northern NSW and southern QLD. Due to recent expansion, we are currently seeking a motivated, energetic and enthusiastic Machinery Operator/ Farm Hand to join our team. The role is casual, however will move into a permanent position for the right candidate. Role responsibilities and duties include but will not be limited to: - Operate modern John Deere farming equipment, including planting and spraying. - Perform basic farm maintenance as directed. - Assist with livestock handling. - Engage in contract work when required. - Travel between properties to complete tasks, including overnight. - Attend field days and workshops as directed. Key candidate requirements: - Current drivers license essential, heavy vehicle advantageous. - Excellent communication and literacy skills - Ability to work alone and within a small team - Previous experience operating farm machinery, John Deere experience an advantage. - Sound work ethic, and be willing to work long hours when required.
