25.01.2022 Our program would not be possible without our director - Elise Hopkins. A highly energised and extremely hard worker, Elise has given her all to make our program a huge success. An all-rounder, Elise has played state soccer, AFL and Tennis. Over the years, Elise has perfected her craft in strength and conditioning coaching, helping a range of athletes better themselves. 21.01.2022 Lachlan, otherwise known as Watto, lives and breathes AFL, having played at Boronia Hawks for the past 20 years. Lachlan’s skills and experience are second to none, highlighted by grand final wins in 2012, 2018 and 2019. Lachlan envisions a program that strives success through a positive culture and strong work ethic! #hcsportsacademy

17.01.2022 Brian Vaughns A legend within the basketball world - Brian has played professionally for more than 15 years in a number of countries around the world including USA, Germany, Australia, Spain Argentina, Switzerland, Mexico and Italy (just to name a few). Brian comes with a wealth of knowledge and years of coaching both at a junior and senior level. We’re very lucky to have Brian and can’t wait to see how he can make this program a huge success #hcsportsacademy

16.01.2022 A current VFLW player, Mel has developed through the local ranks, starting her career at Mt Evelyn Football Club. Many recognised her talent and dedication with Mel being awarded captaincy at Eastern Ranges, notably picking up some bnf’s along the way. Mel knows what it takes to achieve success and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and skills with the academy! #hcsportsacademy

15.01.2022 Our first instalment of ‘Meet The Coaches’. First up, Meagan Merlino A triathlete for the times! Meagan is a powerhouse, coming 11th in the Australian Ironman Championships and ranking Top 10 in the Gatorade Sprint Series. Meagan has also represented Victoria in Softball, as well as playing in the US on a sport scholarship in North Carolina. Meagan brings an impressive resume with her to our Gifted Athlete Program and we can’t wait to see this group soar to new heights #hcsportsacademy

09.01.2022 With over 10 years of senior basketball experience under her belt, Warrandyte Venom superstar Meg Dargan brings with her a wealth of experience. Career highlights include captaining Warrandyte’s Division 1 championship winning side of 2013, showing us that height isn’t necessarily everything in this game! Nicknamed the pocket rocket, Meg looks forward to sharing a thing or two with the academy crew.
