24.01.2022 Hi Team, Last one for the night, as mentioned to those in attendance tonight, the Under 14s are having a practice match on Sunday and have a few players missing due to cricket grand finals and are looking for any of our boys who would like a game to assist, currently we already have 4 or 5, but the game will be over 6 quarters as Blackburn (opposition) have 2 sides, so plenty of game time available. For our parents, there is no obligation or expectations from me, it is entire...ly up to yourselves to decide if your son wants to and keeping in mind, it will be against Under 14 boys, some in A Grade. The details are as follows, but I will need a confirmation on this one as soon as possible, to arrange jumpers and advise our Under 14 Coach, Kingswood College Station Street Box Hill Apparently no parking in school, so parking on Station Street or surrounding streets. Game starts at 9.30am (ouch) Players Arrive at 8.45am, White Shorts, boots/ runners/ mouthguard required. 21.01.2022 Hi All, Hope you have all had a great long weekend. As per previous correspondence we are back to training until season commencement on Tuesday and Thursdays and another week of battling grounds, but at this stage we will be at our home in Purches Street at 5.15 for 5.30 commencement, as we need to do some cramming, training will continue for an extra 15 minutes over the next month to finish at 6.45. On Thursday night at the completion of training we have a very important mee...ting that we require at least one parent or guardian to attend, this will only take 10 to 15 minutes, but it is in relation to our registration numbers situation. Over the last few months we have made all endeavours to continue with 2 teams as per last season, but unfortunately due to a few players moving clubs and another couple deciding not to continue with football, our numbers have fallen well short and we are now left in a very awkward situation with total registrations on our books. Despite a little interest late last week from another couple of new players, we have been forced to close off registrations for 2017 and we have exceeded the EFLs permitted numbers of 26. The meeting on Thursday is to discuss the implications and composition of the team moving forward. For those not aware, we have been placed in Under 13 B Grade for season 2017 and most likely we are going to have some extremely awkward decisions to make over the next few weeks. The first question you may ask is why we accepted more than 26, the simple answer is that we wanted to keep the door open to put 2 sides onto the field in 2017 and wanted to keep this door ajar for as long as possible and registrations have only started flooding in in recent weeks. Our neighbours up the road have also had the same situation and discussions were made to even consider a conjoined or hybrid side, but total numbers still could still not make this a viable option either, so in short we have done our best but to no avail. 18.01.2022 Hi all, Exciting news our Season Launch is next Sunday 26th March 2017. The boys will be having a Practice Match at Heathmont on this day along with several other age groups and further details to come in relation to game times etc. We encourage your families to attend throughout the day and support the other Heathmont teams who are playing. The canteen will be open all day for refreshments.... Commencing at 4.30pm there will be an official season launch. This will include activities for the kids, an introduction to all the coaching staff and a presentation to the Girls Football teams. Food and drink will be available to purchase from the canteen (Roast Beef Rolls & Pizza), alcohol will be available to purchase from the bar, and general merchandise/socks and shorts will be available between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Last year our Season Launch was a huge success and everyone had a great night. It would be great to get as many families to attend this year as possible - and as a bonus the weather is looking great! 13.01.2022 Hi Team, Final update for Sundays Practice Match at home Purches Street. Arrival Time in Rooms- 10.00am (Please try and not be late, lot to go through this week) Game Commencement- 10.45am 4 x 20 Minute Quarters... Blue Shorts (if you have them, no issues if not purchased yet) Boots and Mouthguard (should be now standard for all games and training moving forward) We have one volunteer for running water thus far, but no trainer, boundary umpire, so some duties to fill on Sunday. Dont forget Season Launch back at Clubrooms on that afternoon, lets have a great turn out from our group and get to know each other, plenty of food, drinks and fun for all. Training as normal tomorrow (Thursday Night) and finally into some games. In relation to our numbers situation, I believe I have spoken with the majority but in short, we are going with all 28 (awaiting tick off from EFL), this will pose some challenges I have no doubt, but importantly group will stay together and hopefully with your support and understanding we can make this work and have a fun and successful season. 13.01.2022 Hi All, Sorry for late confirmation, but due to shortage of ground space, we have been forced to change training nights as discussed on Sunday to Wednesdays moving forward and effective this week. Training time has also changed and i totally understand changes will not suit everyone, but we have few options,... Wednesday Nights arrival at 5.45 for 6.00 Pm Commencement and completion at 7.15. The upside of these times will allow us to train on main oval, pretty much unimpeded, so this will be advantageous from a football perspective on working on our game structures on a ground size suitable to what we will be playing on each week. Encouraging start on Sunday by the lads and they seem to be listening to what we are trying to teach, lots of improvement to come hopefully, but was good to finally get a game under our belt. Fixtures still not released as yet, so no information on the weekend at this stage unfortunately, but the minute this is available, we will pass on. In relation to the jackets you got on the weekend, Jen Hanson will be in attendance on Wednesday night and will have some other sizes if anyone is wishing to change, dont stress if tags have been removed, this will not be a problem, but keep in mind these jackets are hopefully going to last the boys for a few years and potentially warm clothes, hoodies underneath in the winter months, so best to ensure they have some space to grow into etc. We would like all players to wear jackets to games (weather permitting) so we all look like we are one professional team, so this will be the only requirement for a game day uniform. We will also try and advise those players not selected in Round 1, as early as possible, but we would also like all those not in the actual 24 to attend and be involved where possible. 13.01.2022 Playing Mooroolbark at jubilee park oval 2 We turned up not sure what to expect but after the first major from Mooroolbark we switched on with Tyrese, Aiden, and Luke setting us up with a lot of entries into the forward line with our attack on the ball getting better every time we touched the footy. The team started to get there brand of footy going but not much scoreboard pressure happening and was really impressed with Liam Von , Brady and Jaxon attacking well. Max and Ben BS were having their own tussle who could keep their opponents to no possessions well done. A very positive day of footy we didnt win but our efforts were a huge turn around from the week before, we will get there as we improve each week keep it up Jets

We are also going to have a 4 quarters x 12munutes Practice match V Bayswater on April 12 under lights at Heatherdale leading into Easter to prepare us for Round 2, please advise as soon as possible of any unavailability on this night when you can, starting time will be 6.15 therefore 5.30 arrival. For those not aware Aiden Lipski has a broken collar bone from the weekend, so lets get behind ...him and we will have him back on the ground soon. 08.01.2022 Hi to all Players and Parents, Apologies for the lack of communication since Christmas, but we are full steam ahead for season 2017. Thanks to those that have registered thus far, it is vitally important for those that have not done so yet and are intending for their son to play, that this is done as soon as possible. The club needs to submit final teams to EFL shortly for all grades, let alone the logistics of organising jumpers, gear etc, prior to Round 1 on April 2nd.... As you may have seen we are conducting a Registration / Information Day this Sunday Feb 19th at Purches Street from 10am to 12pm, you are welcome to sign up on this day, we will have lap tops and eftpos machines available and some merchandise. Training will commence next Tuesday February 21st on the front ground at Purches Street and then on the following nights, -Tuesday February 28th -Tuesday March 7th -Thursday March 9th -Tuesday March 14th -Thursday March 16th -Tuesday March 21st -Thursday March 23rd -Tuesday March 28th -Thursday March 30th Sunday April 2- Round 1 Starting times for training will be 5.15 arrival for 5.30 sharp commencement and completion at 6.30 sharp. Boys will only need runners at this point in time, until we have full control of grounds from cricket club, also please ensure the lads have water and mouthguard for all sessions if they have them The above schedule provides us with 10 sessions prior to Round 1and most likely a Practice Match the week prior to the first round. The above dates maybe subject to changes both in grounds and dates as we move forward, but I will provide you with details as they come forward. We will also be having a parents night leading up to Round 1 which is vital for at least 1 parent or guardian to attend, this will set out agenda for season.
