25.01.2022 !!!Heathmont TC Cornonavirus Update!!! Dear Members, As you might have read Tennis Australia and Tennis Victoria have both announced updates regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the impacts it has on tennis tournaments.... As the situation currently stands there is normal operation at Heathmont Tennis Club and local competitions. Both Lilydale and Knox District Night Tennis will continue and currently, Eastern Region Grand Finals will go ahead next weekend. This plan could change and if we receive any updates from the relative association's teams will be contacted directly to advise of the changes. Playing competition is voluntary and all players should consider their own personal health circumstances prior to making themselves available to play any match. If you have any concerns please contact either; Aidan Searle (ERT & LDNTA) David Scott (KDNTA) We have been advised by Zenith Tennis Academy (Stephen Hoh) that coaching will continue as normal and if the situation changes coaching pupils will be contacted directly. If you have any queries on coaching please contact Stephen directly. Tennis Aus & Tennis Vic have advised that events and tournaments run by either of them have been postponed until further notice. Tennis Victoria Pennant, Associations Junior League (AJL) and Tennis Victoria Premier League are not being played until further notice. You can read more on the Tennis Victoria update in the link below. https://www.tennis.com.au//tennis-victoria-coronavirus-cov During this period the courts are planned to stay open however we do advise people take the necessary hygiene precautions as published by the government and advise people not use the drink taps on the court but to bring your own water as an extra measure. As always please check the Heathmont Club Website & Facebook Page to keep up to date with what's happening at the club. Notices as also posted in the clubhouse. https://www.tennis.com.au/heathmont/ https://facebook.com/HeathmontTC/ Regards, Heathmont Tennis Club Committee

23.01.2022 Dear Members, We hope everyone is well and keeping safe during these unprecedented times. We are currently still closed but Tennis Victoria is working hard to ensure that Tennis can resume in some capacity from 28th September pending Government approvals. ... We will keep you updated with any updates from our communications with Tennis Victoria and the resumption of Tennis. We, however, have been advised by KDNTA that Season 2 has been cancelled this year with the aim of Season 1 2021 starting as normal. More information on team entries for next season will be published at a later date. Regards, Heathmont Tennis Club Committee

23.01.2022 !!! KDNTA Competition Update !!! We have been advised that KDNTA Season 1, 2020 is suspended indefinitely effective Thursday 19th March 2020. Lilydale Night Tennis and ERT are continuing at this stage and we will provide updates if this changes.... The courts will remain open for members to continue using during this period. Regards, Heathmont Tennis Club Committee

23.01.2022 !!!! Tennis Victoria COVID-19 Update !!!! To the Tennis Victoria Community; our Members, Clubs, Volunteers, Associations, Coaches and Venue Operators, With the continued escalation of social isolation measures in Victoria and following consultation with the tennis community and Government, Tennis Victoria is recommending that as soon as is practically possible for your club or coaching business:... All tennis programmes and coaching be cancelled, including one on one coaching, until further notice All club, association and social play be cancelled until further notice All tennis clubs and centres close until further notice This decision has been incredibly difficult. We know our community loves our sport and that many people are looking for ways to remain fit and active whilst adhering to very strict social distancing guidelines. We are also acutely aware that this recommendation will impact the livelihood of our excellent tennis coaches. However, we are also clear that health and wellbeing must be our priority at this time. Tennis Victoria staff are working remotely to limit contact but are all still available to support you through this challenge: Information and resources to support coaches will be sent to all Tennis Australia Coach Members individually and our Coaching Leaders are available when required. Your Tennis Victoria representative is available for volunteers and we will remain in contact as we try and work our way through this together. The infection rates of this virus vary substantially across all states and territories and as such the recommendation to cease tennis activity temporarily is for Victoria only at this stage. Tennis Australia will continue to work with the state tennis bodies to ensure compliance with the different Federal and State Government recommendations. The current Community Tennis Guidelines for Continued Play are still relevant for all states and territories outside of Victoria. We are exploring all appropriate options for resuming tennis in a safe way when health officials deem it appropriate. This pandemic and these exceptional circumstances will pass and we want to work with our partners to ensure tennis is back bigger and better than ever. This is a challenging time for everyone, please stay home and stay safe. Kind regards Prof. Emma Sherry (President, Tennis Victoria) and Ruth Holdaway (Chief Executive, Tennis Victoria) https://www.tennis.com.au///a-message-from-tennis-victoria

23.01.2022 *Important Message* With the Tennis been on, everyone is getting excited to go outside and have a hit. It is important to check the Air Quality Ratings in the local area and follow advice from the Authorities.

22.01.2022 Dear Members, See the latest update from Tennis Victoria on the announcements made today. 22.01.2022 As the ERT season came to a close today, Heathmont had 3 teams make the Grand Final! Junior morning teams in Open Rubbers 12 and Girls 4 capped off fantastic seasons, finishing runners up in their respective sections. Heathmonts only senior team had a win in their Saturday PM season, finishing a ladder leading season in Singles/Doubles 3 with a flag. Congratulations to not only our teams that played finals, but to everyone who participated in competition this season. It's great to see the growth of players from all ages, and we look forward to another season of good tennis from everyone!

20.01.2022 !!! Heathmont TC Closure COVID-19 !!! Dear Members In alignment with advice from Government, Council and Tennis Australia & Victoria, the HTC Committee have decided to close the Courts and Clubhouse effectively immediately. We will be taking down the nets to ensure no play will take place to follow strict Government rules that are currently in place.... We understand the disappointment that this will cause, but we hope everyone understands the continued need for social isolation measures currently in place. We look forward to the day we can reopen the courts when it is safe to do so. As for the Club, the Committee is working through measures to reduce existing costs as revenue will be significantly impacted over the foreseeable future. The Committee is working to ensure the Club navigates this difficult period to be ready for when we are open again, hopefully soon. The Committee wishes all Members the best of health and please stay home and stay safe. As always please check the Heathmont Tennis Club Website & Facebook Page to keep up to date with what's happening at the Club. 14.01.2022 Dear Members, Tennis Victoria as per the attached has been in communication with the State Government and are hoping that we will be able to get back into Tennis in some form with restrictions very soon. We will continue to update our members as when we can get back on Court.... Regards, Heathmont Tennis Club Committee

14.01.2022 Dear Members, We hope all our members are staying safe during this challenging COVID-19 period. We understand you all want to get back playing tennis and we would love to see people enjoying tennis on our courts again. At this stage, playing tennis is not permitted. Still, we hope to be able to provide an update after the 11th May Government announcements and direction from Tennis Victoria and the Maroondah Council.... An update for our competition players; Juniors/Seniors ERT - The Winter Season is hopeful of going ahead with a modified schedule. Tennis Vic Pennant - Tennis Victoria is still looking to have a modified season going ahead, and we hope to have further updates in the coming weeks. LDNTA - Season 1 & 2 are cancelled. Season 3 is due to start 31st August with Entries due 19th July. KDNTA - Season 1 has been abandoned. Entries for Season 2 are due 21st May, with a KDNTA update expected after 11th May. Membership Update Our Membership renewals, which comprise the majority of the Clubs revenue, have fallen during a challenging time, and the Committee has decided to offer a modified renewal. To provide an incentive to members to renew membership over the coming weeks we are offering half-year rates to cover the whole year instead of the standard full-year rates as we understand the limited use members will have of the facility. Once we can reopen the Club up safely again, we will end the special half-year offer, and outstanding membership fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. Further details on membership will be sent in the coming week with more information for renewal. As always please check the Heathmont Club Website & Facebook Page to keep up to date with whats happening at the Club. You can also contact any of our Committee members directly, details on the website. https://www.tennis.com.au/heathmont/ https://facebook.com/HeathmontTC/ Regards, Heathmont Tennis Club Committee
