Congratulations to Bjarne Ohlin on winning the Regional VET Teacher or Trainer of the Year Award in the 2020 Queensland Training Awards. We wish him all the best for the upcoming State Awards (next Friday). Within the TCTC at Heatley Secondary College RTO 30295, Bjarne leads 3 teachers and has delivered Certificate II and III in Music Industry training to more than 350 ...graduates since 2004. His work makes a valuable contribution for this community in a variety of creative industries. With more than 40 years' experience in the music industry, including as a member of the ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Divinyls, Bjarne has found his greatest challenges and sense of fulfilment through teaching. Bjarne is the HSC Head of Department for The Arts and TCTC, and teaches the TCTC music industry certificate II and III courses. This award recognises innovation and excellence by a teacher/trainer providing nationally recognised training to students at a registered training organisation (RTO). Courses commencing February 12th & 13th: Wednesday 2.00pm - 5.00pm = Certificate II in Creative Industries - Animation, Certificate II in Creative Industries - Screen, Certificate II in Printing & Graphic Arts Thursday 6.00pm - 9.00pm = Certificate II in Music Industry Thursday 5.30pm - 9.00pm = Certificate III in Screen & Media Animation and Certificate III in Music Industry... Please note that due to increased enrolments, the composite Certificate III Game Programming and Animation classes have now been split across two separate classes - Game Programming will continue on Wednesday evening and Animation has moved to Thursday evening, both 5.30pm-9.00pm.
