24.01.2022 So two days after installing our security cameras, at 11.34pm Saturday 15th Aug 2020....this happened. Blighter stole our hose reel and fittings. Called police and gave them a full description. Hopefully they find him walking down the streets holding our hose reel. SERIOUSLY!!??... If you know who he is please let me know so I can find him and teach him how to receive "the laying on of hands"

15.01.2022 "BREAKING NEWS!" While we are still waiting for Netflix to give us a call....lol....we will be on Maori radio 4EB Te Karanga O Te Kowhai with Willy James tomorrow Tuesday 28th July at 11am. Kind of nervous but hopefully it will be a new adventure and we can help answer some questions and help whanau/families put plans in place for that inevitable day.... Big thanks to Nga Mary Bartlett-Johnston for setting this up for us. Nga has been a Funeral Director here in Brisbane for decades and we are proud to have her with us in the Heaven Funerals team.
14.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE. Great news for Grieving Families. Queensland Health have advised the following. From 4:00pm 17th November, 200 guests may attend a funeral service. A maximum of 1 person per 2m2 indoors number will depend on the chapel/building size for funeral services, OR 200 outdoors (burial services) will be permitted at funerals, plus up to three additional funeral officials. ... For any further clarification around this information please contact Queensland Health directly. While the maximum number will be clear inside most chapels, it will be important at graveside services to also ensure social distancing of 2m2 per person to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Hopefully this will allow more extended friends and families to attend in person. Live streaming will still continue to be offered if 200 is not enough to cover all who what to attend. Hopefully things get back to normal in 2021. Stay Safe. The Pokere's of Heaven Funerals

06.01.2022 After having some lovely person try to break into our Mortuary last week we have installed Security Cameras with motion activated, day and night vision with two way speakers. This gives us the ability to speak with and help genuine visitors when we are out of the office. It also gives us the ability to recognise faces in 1080p sharpness, automatically alert the Security Guards in our system and advise would be thieves that the Police are on their way. Funny how hard working,... law abiding Citizens end up having to pay for such things because other "Citizen's" decide the we should have to pay for their poor choices. Bring on the next would be thief I say. Smile, your in Crimewatch nightly.
05.01.2022 So after the shock of going to no more than 20 attendees at funerals over this weekend we are glad to advise that the latest restriction as at 6.1pm tonight, is back to 100 Max attendees for funerals. This assumes that there is space for 1 person per 4m2 in an indoor funeral venue. For the latest updates on these numbers log on to the following website. Let's all do our part to stop the spread.
04.01.2022 False alarm people. The 4EB interview was yesterday at 11am, but it will be broadcasted 2pm Thursday 30th Jul on 98.1FM here in Brisbane. We had a good chat with radio announcer Big Willy James. Mary Ngarongo Bartlett Johnston and I shared our thoughts on the current challenges in the Funeral Industry. Especially how to deal with repatriating our decease loved ones during this Covid 19 dilemma.... If you have the time and are interested, tune in tomorrow at 2pm and hopefully you might learn something. Feel free to call us anytime if you have any other questions that may not be covered in this radio interview. Stay safe. Ross Pokere. Mob 0411 631 311
