24.01.2022 HI EVERYONE HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. This pic was taken on NYE at Balmoral Beach, and that gorgeous little face is my 6 year old Jet.... As magical as Christmas is, I know this time of the year can also mean sadness, loss, stress & other emotions for some. If thats you Im sorry and I feel you My beautiful Mum is actually in hospital right now, so that was not what we were expecting! Life is certain unpredictable. Ive never been a big one for New Years resolutions. But I do think that the start of a new year (and in this case a new decade!!) is a great time to have a look at things/ life/ schedules and assess how its all working. Maybe look at what we can eliminate, what we can change & what we can do better. Work out our priorities for this year. Im setting my self three goals for this year/ three things I want to achieve, and then making a plan to make it happen! I know it aint gonna be easy, and Im going to need lots of help, but I.m gonna give it a go! And YOU can too! Im also looking forward to kicking off the year with a bang! 09.01.2022 M U M & D A U G H T E R S Yesterday I was looking at some photos of my kids when they were younger. Its always so lovely taking a trip down memory lane. Reminiscing about all the cute things they used to say and do, and how darn cute their little faces were!!... Then I came across a series of photos my sisters and I did with my Mum. (This is not us pictured here, rather clients of mine. But I may share it one day). It was probably about 5 years ago now. My sisters and I knew that Mum was getting on. We wanted to create some beautiful photos together, and capture our relationship with her. So much has happened since then. My mum has dementia now. The disease that starts by robbing your mind of memories, and then robbing your body of function. It sucks! When I was looking at the portraits of my sisters & I with Mum, they brought me so much joy I am SO grateful that we got the opportunity to do the shoot, and that we TOOK the opportunity! We did talk about it for a while before getting around to actually doing it. But boy am I glad we did it! The photos will be treasured for the rest of our lives, and will then preserve the memories for generations to come. 04.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Ok I know I’m 4 days late, but you know what it’s like this time of the year...who even knows what day it is? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas & New Year ... Many are keen to leave 2020 behind, and I know it was a super hard year for so many both here in Australia and right around the globe. I for one am happy for the new season that is ahead of us! I’m actually just a bit excited and expectant for all that waits ahead I took this photo during my short summer-holiday at the beach. For me it represents the vastness, the fullness, the depth of all that is ahead if we have the courage to step out into the wide unknown! One thing I am really looking forward to is giving back to the community by continuing to create this beautiful space for women’s photography. I launched HeavenlyImage Photography in 2007 with a dream to create a space where women could come and have an experience that is encouraging, fun and confidence-building. An experience where they feel truly beautiful and as an add-on get some great photos. Over the years I have had the honor of meeting & photographing many women, encouraging them & hopefully helping to build confidence & self-esteem. Her husband bought her a Glamour Portrait #GiftVoucher for Christmas Danielle brought in a selection of dresses for her #glamourshoot . I named this one the Casablanca Dress because it reminded me of the movie. (Im showing my age now )... Its actually a @kittendamour dress that her husband David bought for her.
