13.01.2022 I was having the best philosophy session with a friend the other month, going back and forth on things that may or may not be true . Trying to find ways to simplify the complexities of life when we brought up the idea of strength vs power . What the difference between them is and how they affect any goal you’re trying to achieve differently... . Here were our findings: * Both strength and power can be perceived to overlap or be the same thing in modern day * And yet they both have fundamental differences in the distance and affect they bring to accomplishing life goals . Metaphorically strength shows to have affect on one area of a problem, while not necessarily being affective on other areas . Power on the other hand, is when overall transformation takes place by whatever means- whether strength, intelligence, wit, perseverance and heart . Power is all encompassing to bring change in one’s life and situation . When considering the things you want to accomplish, it’s important to ask yourself not only: where are my strengths? But ALSO how can I be powerful? . 11.01.2022 Being wrong is a stinging feeling, it can come with shame, guilt, embarrassment and ridicule along with the fact you feel you’re moving backwards . Similar to saying one step forward, two steps back is how being wrong feels to us in the moment . But worse than being wrong is to never be wrong, never facing challenge or persecution isn’t good for the soul... . When things don’t go as planned it grounds us, opens us up to listening to others and getting our head out our own ass . It pushes us to see there’s more to the story than our own little bubble and creates surprise and anticipation that our souls need . If life’s thrown you a curve ball and has you thinking that your mistake means the end of the world, it’s time to renew your perspective . Perhaps being wrong is just what you needed to be open to learning again, opening up room to get help from others that makes them significant in your life and keeping that same energy next time you’re on top again @ North Parramatta See more

07.01.2022 Many Christians are seen to be hypocritical in our faith, wearing crosses around our neck but partaking in all the same customs and vanities of the world . We then proceed to point the finger at non-believers for not believing what we’re not practicing . But I personally don’t believe our hypocrisy is out of malice but rather fear... . Fear of how the world would treat us if we were to stand firm in our faith which is foolishness to the world 1 Corinthians 1:18 . Fear of being an outcast and rejected by your community which true devotion historically has led to . As a result we turn to compromising our beliefs hoping to be accepted but still fall into judging others and hypocrisy because deep down we know the standard God has set for us . As humans this is a trap that whenever we compromise our faith we will fall into, the only way to break free from this pitfall is to truly ask yourself? . Do you trust God? Do you trust he will have your back, if you put him first? Do you trust he has made you strong enough to take on your mountain? Do you trust there’s a better life on the other side of a non-compromised lifestyle? Do you trust your friends and family will be more blessed by your integrity or by your compromise? . When we’re honest with ourselves our answers may not be what we want to hear and can necessarily shake our foundation in God See more

03.01.2022 Let me say, your first perspective on any particular situation is likely an infant perspective . The human mind easily looks at worse case scenarios to protect itself from potential danger even if our coping strategy is destructive to our current desires . I know this is something that happens to you, it happens to all of us! What I want to ask is...... . Do you question your first perspective when it appears? Or do you run with it ? . How you handle your first infant perspective will determine whether you make a lot of emotional, impulse decisions vs strategic evaluated decisions . The man who builds his house on solid rock vs the man who builds his house on sand . Both were tested by the winds and storms of life but only the house built on rock stayed intact . This is how we build our perspectives on any particular situation, our first perspective is usually an infant perspective . it’s up to us to question that perspective and raise it to an adultthat is independent and dependable to stand up to scrutiny of life around you See more
